On September 18, 2003, three Falun Dafa practitioners, Mao Changqing, Li Jianguo, and Tian Yuxi were secretly transferred to Xinmi City Prison for further persecution. Practitioner Li Jianzhou from Tongzhaipu Town, Tanghe County, Nanyang City was detained in Xinmi Prison for over a month. At the end of this period, he was sent to the emergency room of Xinmi Hospital. When he arrived he was nearly dead with blood spewing from his mouth. His family visited him around October 28, 2003 after receiving the notice. Detailed information is still under investigation.

Mr. Li Jianzhou is 40 years old. He is a peasant from Tongzhaipu Town, Tanhe County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. In October 2001, he had to leave home due to persecution by officers from the Political and Security Division of the Police Bureau of Tanghe County.

Mr. Mao Changqing is 36 years old. He is a peasant from Liyuan village, Tongzhaipu Town, Tanghe County, Nanyang City. In August 2001, he had to leave home due to persecution by officers from the Political and Security Division of the Police Bureau of Tanghe County. In March 2002, Mao Changqing and Li Jianzhou were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials on Binhe Avenue in Nanyang City. One thousand Yuan in cash [approximately a 2-month salary of an average urban worker.], two pagers, one cellular phone, two bicycles, and some truth-clarifying materials were confiscated.

Policemen Guo Wanru and Li Yongxue from the Security Brigade of Wolong District, Nanyang City tortured them in an attempt to force them to confess to committing a crime. They bent the practitioners' heads between their legs and tied their hands and legs together. Then, they were hung up with a rope. They were assaulted with electric batons and other torture instruments for 4 days and 4 nights. Later, the police from the Security Brigade of Wolong District ransacked practitioners' homes and arrested Tian Yuxi and two other practitioners. The police confiscated a printer, a copy machine, Falun Dafa books, and other materials. Practitioner Tian Yuxi was beaten at the scene. Tian Yuxi was subsequently taken to the Security Brigade of Wolong District and tortured savagely to force a confession from him. Later, these five practitioners were detained in the first detention center of Nanyang City (Shanzhuang Detention Center).

In July 2002, the Wancheng District Court of Nanyang City held a secret trial for Mao Changqing, Li Jianzhou, and Tian Yuxi. None of their families were notified. It was learned in the summer of 2003 that Tian Yuxi was unjustly sentenced to 9 years, Mao Changqing 8 years, and Li Jianzhou 7 years. Practitioner Tian Yuxi went on a hunger strike for several days to protest the unjust sentence. He was brutally force-fed. Mao Changqing went on huger strikes twice during his time in the first detention center and was also force-fed . Several police officers held him down and pried his mouth open. During the force feeding some people also tickled his armpits in order to force him to comply. The three practitioners appealed the unjust sentence. The Wancheng district court did not hold any new trial but soon issued an order to "maintain the original judgment." The Wancheng District Court did not follow Chinese law in sentencing these Falun Dafa practitioners; instead, it followed the order from Jiang's regime and sentenced the practitioners at will.

On September 18, 2003, Mao Changqing, Li Jianzhou, and Tian Yuxi were secretly transferred to Xinmin Prison of Zhengzhou City for further persecution. Never during the process of arrest, trial, sentencing or transfer to Xinmi Prison of Zhengzhou City were the families of these three practitioners ever notified. Twenty days after they were transferred to Xinmi prison, their families went to the first detention center of Nanyang City to visit them. The prison police still extorted money from the families even though the practitioners had been transferred to Xinmi Prison.

Dafa practitioners and fellow practitioners of our region who have read this article, please watch closely the persecution and suffering of these three practitioners, expose the evils, and rescue the practitioners. I appeal to Dafa practitioners to send forth powerful righteous thoughts. Eliminate all the evil factors that are persecuting Dafa and practitioners in other dimensions surrounding Xinmi Prison and the first detention center of Nanyang City and strengthen our fellow practitioners so that they may get out of prison soon.
