Denmark: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Candlelight Vigil to Appeal for the Urgent Rescue of Practitioners in Jilin Province (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of October 30, Falun Gong practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the parliament building in the Christian Castle district of Denmark, to appeal to the Danish government and citizens for the urgent rescue of practitioners persecuted in China.

At present, the weather in Denmark is somewhat cold with continuous mild rain. Practitioners sat beneath banners calling for the end to the persecution, incessantly sending forth righteous thoughts, or simultaneously handing out leaflets clarifying the facts to government employees and passers-by.

The Danish Falun Gong spokesperson, Mrs. Wu said, "Today, Denmark practitioners have come to the parliament building to appeal to benevolent people worldwide in order to rescue Falun Gong practitioners from severe suppression in China. We have heard that more than 100 Falun Gong practitioners in Jilin prison have refused food and water to protest the persecution, and their lives are in peril. One of them, Liu Chengjun, is on the verge of death from the effects of severely cruel persecution."

In accordance with a report from the Falun Dafa Information Centre, to date the number of practitioners tortured to death is 809. Practitioners appeal to the Danish government and people from all walks of life for the following: to realise the brutality of the persecution, to actively participate in rescue activities, to jointly call for an end to the afflictions imposed on Falun Gong practitioners and to immediately stop the persecution.
