(Clearwisdom.net, November 16, 2003) On Sunday the 9th
of November, a Body Mind and Spirit Exhibition was held at the Floral Hall in
Southport. There were sixty exhibitors at the show, each with stands for a
variety of therapies. A group of practitioners from Manchester also joined this
expo. As one of the 60 exhibitors, Falun Gong was warmly received.
As the only organization that gave demonstrations during the
expo, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five exercises that lasted 30
minutes twice on the stage in the main hall. A western practitioner Daryl, a
senior aircraft engineer, introduced to the audience the characteristics of
Falun Gong and the persecution in China. He told the audience that his wife and
himself have been practicing Falun Gong for 6 years.
Also, at 1:30 pm practitioners held a Falun Gong workshop.
More than a dozen people learned the exercises on the spot.
The stand attracted people throughout the day and
practitioners handed out leaflets, collected signatures for the rescue of Falun
Gong practitioners' family members, and answered questions. Many people were
astonished to hear of the brutal persecution, particularly after watching the
peaceful exercise demonstrations.
