Dafa Practitioners Held Indefinitely by Shibalihe Women's Labor Camp, Henan Province

Recently, the Shibalihe Women's Labor Camp, located in the urban area of Zhengzhou city, Henan province, prolonged the illegal detention of Falun Gong practitioners to further persecute them. While other non-practitioner detainees in the labor camp were widely praised or received reduced detention sentences for guarding or persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, the Falun Gong practitioners received extended terms of detention. The labor camp generally asks for one month extension of practitioners' terms from the Labor Education Bureau, but the latter usually gives at least three months extension or even longer. Many Falun Gong practitioners have had their terms extended from three to eight months simply because they refused to take part in exams aiming at attacking and defaming Dafa. There were many excuses for such extensions, for instance, the practitioners were found to have Dafa articles, or they refused to follow the labor camp rules, etc. In fact, there is no rule for such extensions at all; the labor camp simply did it at will using any random excuse.

In a brainwashing class the labor camp officials threatened, "Nobody will be released if you don't change your stance!" The practitioners Wang Yuzhen, Zhao Suzhen, Zhang Li, Su Er and Wei Guirong have received three-month extensions. In addition, Chang Xirong received an extension for one month. Su Er, who was originally illegally sentenced to 1.5 years of forced labor, has received continuous extensions totaling one year and eight months (according to the rules of the labor camp, the longest extension cannot exceed one year or half of the original term).

The Falun Gong practitioners are not allowed to go home even when they are "released" by the Shibalihe Women's Labor Camp. Instead, they are directly sent to local brainwashing classes, detention centers or sentenced to forced labor once again. This absolutely is a serious invasion of the human rights of citizens, and is a serious persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.

The practitioners held in the Third Labor Camp (Male's Labor Camp), located in Xuchang city, Henan province, are also suffering from extended terms We ask practitioners in China and overseas to send forth righteous thoughts to break the arrangements of the evil old forces to help all practitioners being persecuted with illegal long-term detentions in labor camps in China.

Zheng Hongxia, female, 32 years old, was sentenced to one year of forced labor in 2002 and was detained in the 4th group of the labor camp. She was not allowed to go home after one year but was sent to a local detention center. After that, she was illegally sentenced to 3 more years of forced labor and was sent back to the labor camp. She is now being detained in the 3rd group of the labor camp.

Zhao Yanxia, female, around 30, lives in Neihuang county, Henan province. She was sentenced to 1 year of forced labor in 2002 and was detained in the 4th group of the labor camp. One year later, she was not allowed to go home and was directly sent to the Anyang City Detention Center, where she has been detained for the past year.

Wang Junying, female, around 30, lives in Mengzhou city, Henan province. She was illegally sentenced to 1 year of forced labor in 2002. Although she was allowed to go home after one year, she was once again illegally sentenced to 1 year of forced labor after several months at home. She is now being detained in the 3rd group of the labor camp.

Chen Lijun, female, around 30, is a citizen of Zhengzhou city, Henan province. She has been sentenced twice to 1 year of forced labor. At the end of her detention, she was directly sent to the local detention center and brainwashing class for further persecution (some practitioners have been illegally detained for more than one year in the brainwashing class). At that time, her father died of an illness and her two brothers begged the policemen to let her go home, but to no avail. Twenty days later, she was once again illegally sentenced to 2 years of forced labor and was sent back to the labor camp. Recently, her term was extended to 5 more months of forced labor because of her resistance to the unlawful persecution against her.

Sun Jiangyi, female, 32 years old, is a citizen of Sanmenxia city, Henan province. After two years of her illegal forced labor term, the labor camp informed the local "610 Office"* to pick her up, but nobody came after 3 days. Then the labor camp had to let her go home by herself. After she left, the local "610" officials went to the labor camp but found that she was not there. They then searched her home but she had left. In the end, the local policemen illegally issued a "wanted" notice for Sun Jiangyi. Not knowing this, Sun Jiangyi was kidnapped when she went back home. She was sent to a local detention center and was detained there for more than one year. After that, she was once again sentenced to 2 years of forced labor and was sent back to the labor camp.
