The 110 Emergency Hotline Is Used as a Tool to Persecute Falun Gong

A Falun Dafa practitioner in a certain city was abducted and sent to the local "610 Office"* brainwashing class. When a family member brought daily necessities to him, the head of the "610 Office" arbitrarily detained the family member in the brainwashing class and asked her to cooperate with them to brainwash the practitioner. Confronted with this emergency situation, the family member called the 110 Emergency Hotline [similar to calling 911 in the USA]. When the 110 personnel arrived they did not uphold justice. Instead, they cooperated with the "610 Office" in detaining the practitioner's family member. Later, the "610 Office" head said in a reprimanding tone, "Let me tell you, the 110 emergency hotline is set up for us (to persecute Falun Gong)!"

After the police abducted one Dafa practitioner, the practitioner witnessed this scene: A 110 staff member's cell phone rang suddenly and they realized that they were being notified of an emergency to which they would have to respond. The person in charge said, "Turn off the cell phones and pagers, and do not let them know where we are. Arresting an escaped criminal is not the same as arresting a Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Gong practitioners do not fight back when they are beaten or sworn at, and we can arrest them any time. However, it could be life-threatening to have to arrest an escaped criminal. What if something should happen to us?"
