Stories From Washington D.C.
By a Practitioner in D.C.
(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Tyrant Jiang and the Chinese People I was handing out truth-clarifying materials at the State Department one day
in early July. A gentleman in his 50s refused to take the materials, and said to
me, "We like China." He was kind and was all smiles. I also smiled back at him and asked, "Sir, do you like the Chinese tyrant,
Jiang? Or is it the Chinese people that you like?" He was taken aback and could not give a response for a while. In the end, he
chose the Chinese people. I then said to him, "Thank you, Sir. But do you know that Jiang is killing
the Chinese people?" He was again speechless. I looked straight into his eyes and waited for a
response. Finally he nodded his head and quickly went into the building. He even turned
back to look at me after going in. I returned his gaze, smiled, waved at him and
said, "Bring Jiang to justice!" My voice was firm and calm. The Dinner Reception On September 28, the Embassy of People's Republic of China in the United
States of America held a reception for overseas Chinese. Many Chinese people
came from afar to attend, hence we all thought we should use this rare
opportunity to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to the precious Chinese
people. Over a dozen practitioners held banners, did the exercises, and sent
righteous thoughts across from the embassy. A person driving past us lowered the car window and said, "I support Falun
Gong!" A young lady took out her camera to take a picture of our banner. She
hesitated, put down the camera and looked my way as if asking, "Can I take a
picture?" I smiled and nodded my head. She then raised her camera and took a
picture of, "Bring Jiang to Justice." As more guests were arriving, they were not in a hurry to go in the embassy.
Instead, they all stood outside and watched us. Their looks were of uncertainty
and of hope. Over a hundred fellow countrymen were standing just a few feet away
but we had nothing to say. How wonderful it would have been if we could let them
watch the self-immolation analysis movie on the spot! Teacher had arranged such
a good opportunity for us, but we did not seize it. We must do better next time. What did you say? I quickly returned to the embassy to distribute materials with other
practitioners at several different crossroads. A police car was parked on the
side of the road and three policemen were standing there leisurely. I went to talk to a Chinese that just walked out of the embassy. I said, "How
do you do, Sir. Please take the time to understand Falun Gong." The youngest policeman smiled at me and asked, "What did you say to them?" Most of the people accepted the materials and said, "Thank you!" An older gentlman accepted the material and said, "I support Falun Gong!" The youngest policeman again asked me, "What did he say to you?" I imitated
the older gentleman's expression and said softly in his ears, "I support Falun
Gong!" He beamed. He had a very pure and childish smile. You are My Fellow Countryman An employee of the embassy came out to escort the parting guests. I handed
him truth clarification materials when he walked by, but he refused and stood
there with a look of, "Don't you know I work for the embassy?" I smiled and said
to him, "I know you work in the embassy. It has been four years and we have
become quite acquainted with each other. We have come here to aim at Jiang's
persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, not at the employees of the embassy.
You are my fellow countryman. I hope you can understand the truth and greet the
coming of the wonderful future with us." When he again walked by me while escorting guests, his looks were kind and
gentle. Admiration We were there until the last Chinese guests came out from the embassy. A
young woman among them said, "Oh! It is this late, yet Falun Gong practitioners
are still here!" I smiled and said to her, "We are still waiting for our precious fellow
countrymen. We hope that you will come to understand the truth." She replied, "We know, we understand! I admire you from deep down my heart!"
She then Heshi and bowed to us deeply. She accepted the materials with both hands and told all her companions to
come take some also. Then she asked with concern, "Aren't you cold?" Indeed, it was late at night and the chill of autumn winds had come. Some
practitioners only had on a single layer of clothing, but our hearts were warm.
