Zhou Haiyan is a 37-year-old Dafa practitioner from Dalian City's Development Zone in Liaoning Province. On October 1, 2000, she went to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa, and was later detained in Dalian City's Zhoushuizi Forced Labor Camp. As she refused to cooperate with evildoers who attempted to force her to renounce her belief, she was transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in April of 2001, where she suffered all kinds of torture. Her term expired on October 1st, but so far she is still being detained indefinitely.

Zhou Haiyan's father-in-law is in the late stages of cancer and on the brink of death. He worries about the safety of his daughter-in-law. Personnel at Masanjia have been extending her term again and again. Zhou Haiyan's family is anxious and angry.

On November 5, 2003, officers from the Ranghu Road Police Precinct arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Zang Yuzhen from Ranghu District, Daqing City, and a practitioner by the last name of Piao who had been living away from home to avoid persecution. It's said that both are now held at the Daqing City Detention Center.

On July 10, 2003, 73-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Dong Jilan and her husband from Dongdaqiao, in the Chaoyang District, went grocery shopping. On their way, an unfamiliar man handed her something. This older woman is not very literate. Even before she made a response, some officers seized her, took her to a police station and later on sent her to a detention center. She was tortured to the point of being half paralyzed, and was then sent to the Civil Aviation Hospital. She had recently been transferred to the Police Hospital. The police neither apologized nor released her and didn't allow her family members to visit her. She has been detained for nearly four months.

Two sisters, the younger one named Zhang Lilan, are from a village in Meihekou City in Jilin Province. A village head reported them to the police when they were distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. They were sent to the Tonghua Labor Camp. One sister had 10,000 Yuan* extorted from her, and the other one was sentenced to three years imprisonment.

On March 11, 2003, officers from the No. 1 Division from the Wuhan City Police Bureau arrested practitioners Mr. Xu Jianjun, Mr. Liu Shuisheng, Mr. Yu Ganghai and Mr. Xie from Wuhan City in Hubei Province. This happened at their Dafa truth-clarifying materials production center. The practitioners are currently detained.

2. Ms. He Mei is a music instructor from a middle school in the Dongxihu District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. She has been sent to forced labor because she believes in "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance." Her term should have expired and she should have been released by now, but instead she was forcibly sent to a brainwashing center for further persecution. It has been two months that she has been forced to endure this program. Practitioners were tortured in this class - they were subjected to forcible exposure under the burning sun, forced to run for extended periods of time and not allowed to take a shower, even during female practitioners' menstrual cycle.

In the afternoon of October 28, 2003, Chen Wanyou, the police from Jiamusi City of Heilongjiang Province went to Jiamusi City's Education Center and arrested employee Ms. Liu Lijie, a Dafa practitioner. Following the arrest, the police ransacked Ms. Liu's home and took away many Dafa books and Dafa materials. Ms. Liu Lijie is now being held at the Jiamusi Detention Center.

The police in the Weining Labor Camp in Benxi City, Liaoning Province incite criminals to beat practitioners.

In October 2003, Ms. Yan Fang, a Dafa practitioner from Wujia Village, Ningjin County, Hebei Province, was arrested. She was taken to the county's police department by enforcers from the county's "610 Office."** Now she is being detained at the Ningjin County Detention Center, where she has been on a hunger strike for many days.

Ms. Li Jianguo is a Dafa practitioner from Zhao County in Hebei Province. In October, after she was released from a forced labor camp in October, the perpetrators again unlawfully took her away from home, breaking the law once more, and sent her to the Shijiazhuang City Brainwashing Center.

Since a brainwashing center was established in Xinji City, Hebei Province, Dafa practitioners were continuously taken against their will and detained here. In October, at least two Dafa practitioners were illegally taken to the brainwashing center, but one escaped with the power of righteous thoughts.

On November 4, 2003, policemen in Xiaodu Town arrested Dafa practitioners Li Jianying and Luu Yuanjian, from Tongnan County, Sichuan Province, when they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. That same night, Zhang Liang, the chief of the county's National Security Team, searched Luu Yuanjian's home but found nothing. He lied to practitioner Mr. Luu's family, saying that they had observed Luu Yuanjian hanging banners outside. In fact, they had already unlawfully arrested the two Dafa practitioners. These are now being held at a detention center.
