Mayor of Songjia Town of Zhaoyuan City Angrily Shouts, "Jiang Zemin Instructs Us to Beat Falun Gong Practitioners to Death"

(Clearwisdom.net) I am Wang Xinrong, a Dafa practitioner and a farmer's wife at Zhaike Brigade in Songjia Town, Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province. Teacher and Falun Dafa have been suffering from the Jiang's regime's deceitful and slandering lies. I tried appealing to the State Councils Appeal Office in Beijing to clear Falun Dafa's reputation. I was subject to atrocious persecution because of my actions.

Since July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin has abused his power by persecuting Falun Gong. He uses all the radio stations, television stations, newspapers, and the entire country's resources in slandering Falun Dafa by scandalous means and persecutes Dafa practitioners systematically. The tragic death of Mr. Zhao Jinhua, the former Mayor of Zhangxing Town, Zhaoyuan City, is a good example of the brutality of the persecution. Mayor Zhao refused to renounce his steadfast belief in the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Since he would not give up practicing Falun Gong, the police beat him to death. They then cremated his body to conceal the evidence of the cause of his death.

On January 25, 2000, twelve fellow practitioners and I from Songjia Town went to Beijing to appeal for our constitutional right to practice Falun Dafa. When we arrived at Tiananmen Square, a swarm of undercover police officers suddenly approached us. We were punched and kicked savagely. Then we were pulled into the police cars. The police sent us directly to the Beijing Office of Zhaoyuan City Police Force. The next day authorities in Beijing sent us back to the Zhaoyuan City Police by bus. There were more than 60 Dafa practitioners on the bus.

We again arrived at Zhaoyuan City, and a police car and a large truck from Songjia Town Police Station arrived around 3:00 p.m. It was snowing and the gusting winter wind from the North was howling that day. The Deputy Secretary of Songjia Town, Mr. Wang Weizhou, ordered eight to nine low-ranking members of criminal underworld organizations and men hired to terrorize or eliminate opponents that came with him, to herd us into the street. These men kept punching and kicking us as we were driven into the street. They stripped us of our overcoats, gloves, mittens and scarves. Then they beat us to the ground. We were forced to sit in the snow with our legs stretched out straight. Anyone caught bending his legs was severely beaten. We were forced to sit in the snow and howling wind for about an hour. Then we were tied up with thick ropes and thrown into the back of the large truck. The freezing wind stung our skin as the truck started to move.

When the truck drove into the courtyard of the Songjia Town Police Station, the Zhaike Brigade's Secretary, Mr. Zhang Zhihao started to yell and curse at us. The hired thugs again made us sit in the snow with our legs stretched out straight. Over an hour later, we were pulled into a windowless room with a thick layer of ice on the floor. We were made to sit on the ice covered concrete floor without coats. Then the Deputy Secretary of Zhaike Brigade came to see us. My husband and son had also arrived. My son was home on military leave to see my husband and me. He burst into tears when he saw me sitting on the ice covered floor. Two of my fellow practitioners were experiencing their menstrual periods but were also made to sit on ice. We had to sit on ice in that room from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next day. To give you an idea how cold it was, the police officers that watched us in that room had to wear long overcoats and change shifts three times that night to keep from freezing. Our temperature and weight melted some of the ice, making our clothes wet from the waist down. We were denied the use of the toilet.

The next day Ms. Lin Kuimei and I were pulled into another room and shackled to "Iron Chairs" (please see "Iron Chair Device Used by Jiang Zemin's Regime to Torture Practitioners" at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2002/1/9/17577.html). To escalate the torture, the Secretary of Songjia Town Police Station, Mr. Yang Xiaoliang ordered the glass window to be removed, making the room even colder. At night the gusting wind felt like sharp knives going into our skin. That evening, Mr. Yang Xiaoliang came and asked us, "Will you go to Beijing again? Strip them naked and pour water into their shoes." I questioned Yang, "What's wrong with us civilians practicing Falun Gong?" Yang replied fiercely, "What's the use of complaining to me? It is Jiang Zemin's order. No one can disobey him."

Three days later, Ms. Lin Kuimei was transferred to the Zhaoyuan City Detention Center. On the same day, the Zhaike Brigade's Secretary, Mr. Zhang Zhihao, my husband, and my son came to persuade me to write a guarantee not to practice Falun Gong any longer; then I would be able to go home. I instructed my family not to give the police a dime if they asked for ransom. I also declared to them that I would never write such a guarantee. Zhang Zhihao and Yang Xiaoliang were extremely mad. So they planned to transfer me to Zhaoyuan City Detention Center as well. However, my husband paid the police ransom after all in exchange for my release in January 2001 and brought me home.

On January 11, 2001, I was farming in the field when a policeman came to say that Ms. Lin Kuimei was arrested in Beijing again and returned to them. Secretary Wang (the Deputy Secretary of Songjia Town, Mr. Wang Weizhou) wanted to see me at the police station. This is how the police seized me again.

My husband went to argue with Secretary Wang. Wang said, "There is nothing I can do. This is by the order of Jiang Zemin. From now on, anyone from Zhaoyuan City going to Beijing will cause Zhaoyuan City government officials of all levels to be fired from their positions. To prevent this from happening to us, we have to arrest all Falun Gong practitioners that have traveled to Beijing and those that are currently in Zhaoyuan City. In fact, this policy applies to all cities in China, not just Zhaoyuan City." Then he locked us up in the same windowless room and made us stand from day to night, denying us the use of the toilet. The two police officers on duty had not completely lost their conscience. I asked them bravely, "Ms. Lin Kuimei and Ms. Wang Qihai were sent back here from Beijing yesterday. Do you know where they are locked up?"

One of them led me to the first floor of a building and whispered, "There is nothing we can do about this. It is all Jiang Zemin's idea. In fact, from what I have heard, the majority members of the CCP Standing Committee believe in Falun Gong. Even their family members practice Falun Gong. I heard Jiang Zemin was the only one who wished to ban Falun Gong. He is constantly worried about potential usurpers. They are upstairs. You may go and see them now."

Kuimei started wailing upon seeing me. She said, "I will soon die of their savage beatings. They hired gangsters and thugs from outside Zhaoyuan City and gave them special training on beating Falun Gong practitioners." These underworld figures beat Kuimei savagely and frequently. Every inch of her body was covered with injuries and bruises. Her mouth and nose were bleeding. Often times she was beaten until she lost consciousness. According to what Deputy Secretary of Songjia Town, Mr. Wang Weizhou, told Kuimei, they would continue beating Falun Gong practitioners after the Chinese New Year. This would not just include those practitioners who were arrested in Beijing, but those who were snatched from their homes as well. They would keep beating Falun Gong practitioners until they renounced Falun Gong in writing. Wang Weizhou added, "Jiang Zemin instructs us to beat Falun Gong practitioners to death and then cremate the bodies. We don't face any legal responsibility." Ms. Wang Qihai was locked in a different room. She was so savagely beaten that she lost the ability to stand. The gangsters and hired thugs beat her up with batons as thick as the table legs. They swung the batons so hard during the beatings that the batons broke in half.

The next day all of our family members came to the Songjia Town Police Station exploding with rage. When Wang Weizhou saw their wrath, he became anxious and sent Kuimei and Qihai to the hospital for checkups. After the checkup, the police were worried that they might die in the hospital. So they sent both of them home in the police car.

Since then they have improved their attitude towards Dafa practitioners a little. We were allowed to study the Fa and practice the Falun Gong exercises during our detention. They continue to persecute us and spread slanderous lies about Teacher. How can we bear to stay at this place? We have benefited so much from practicing Falun Gong. We must continue appealing for Dafa in Beijing until the persecution ends. A fellow practitioner Ms. Zhong Zhaofen said she wanted to go to appeal with me. At midnight the police officers, who were supposed to watch us, were playing Chinese mahjong and soon fell asleep. We crawled out of the window. That night the gate of the police station was not locked, so we walked out of the gate quickly. We traveled to Beijing without any interference but unfortunately the undercover police seized us near Tiananmen Square.

The next day we were locked in Songjia Town Police Station again and fined 2,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] This time the gangsters and hired thugs beat the two of us savagely until we were covered with blood and almost dying. Later they tried to send us to Zhaoyuan City Detention Center. A senior staff person there said, "We cannot take in savagely beaten men until you specify in the written transfer document that they were already severely wounded prior to the transfer." We could not eat or move our bodies for the first several days at the detention center. The detention center did not want to take any legal responsibility for us, so they notified the Zhaike Brigade's Secretary, Mr. Zhang Zhihao, to remove us from the detention center. Zhang Zhihao sent us home in a car. When processing the release procedure, he asked us if we dared to continue practice Falun Gong. I replied immediately, "Of course! I will practice Falun Gong to the end!"

The next day, Songjia Town Police Station sent a police car to my home again. My husband told them, "She is lying on the bed. She cannot eat or move." I knew the message they were trying to send with the visit. Since they haven't tortured me to death, they will wait for me to recover and then send me to forced labor camp. So I hid at a relative's home. Later the police discovered that I had left home and started to hunt me down. Thus I was forced to leave home and go into hiding.
