Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zheng Libo from Heilongjiang Province Tortured to Death by Qitaihe City Police

Ms. Zheng Libo, age 51, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province. Local police were aggressively arresting Falun Dafa practitioners after a local truth-clarification material site was exposed. On April 12, 2003, Zheng Libo was abducted and taken to the Qitaihe City Police Station, where the police inhumanely tortured her both physically and mentally. Zheng Libo was tortured to death on April 14, 2003, only two days after being abducted.

According to the Falun Dafa Information Center's telephone investigation, one person from the Qitaihe City Political and Judiciary Committee (86-464-8266005) said that Zheng Libo was arrested by the "610 Office."¹ One man from the Qitaihe City "610 Office" (86-464-8275610) confirmed Zheng Libo's death. He said that Zheng Libo died of sickness, but he refused to explain how she could have died of sickness only two days after being brought to the Police Station. He said, "Okay, Okay," then hung up the phone.

Usually, if Falun Dafa practitioners are beaten to death, the "610 Office" and police all say the death was caused by sickness.
