(Clearwisdom) Reports have come from the Dehui City Detention Center in Jilin Province that the Dafa practitioners being detained there have been on a hunger strike for over ten days. They have been subjected to persecution of different degrees, and some of their lives are in danger.

In March of this year, Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Cunxian was put in hand and foot chains and tied to the "Tiger Bench" [Tiger Bench is one of the torture methods used on practitioners. Practitioners' knees are tightly tied on a small iron bench. Usually some hard objects are inserted underneath the practitioner's lower legs or ankles to make it harder for them to tolerate this abuse. The heads of the detention center Ding Richao, Liu Chao, and Liu Yuhu were all personally involved in the persecution. Liu Yuhu punched Ms. Jiang's face, and Ding Richao kicked Ms. Jiang and stomped on her toes. The prison doctor Liu Yazhou also participated in the persecution by force-feeding Ms. Jiang. Under such persecution of both mind and body, Ms. Jiang developed peritonitis in her lower abdomen, has difficulty breathing, and cannot sleep because of the pain. She goes through excruciating pain everyday.

When Dafa practitioner Yang Jun was being force-fed, Liu Yazhou, the prison doctor, stabbed her thigh with a needle. Practitioner Jia Yunxia had his teeth knocked loose during force-feeding. During this hunger strike, Dafa practitioners haven't complied with the prison police during force-feeding. They persistently yell out, "Falun Dafa is Good" and send forth righteous thoughts.

We appeal for help to secure the release of these practitioners, who are being tortured on a daily basis at the Dehui City Detention Center.
