Solemn Statement

In 2003, my work unit in collusion with the "610 Office"* sent me to a brainwashing class. Under pressure and deceit, I was brainwashed and forced to give up my belief. After I was released, I felt very painful in my heart. Now through studying the Fa, pondering and looking inside, I realized why I was brainwashed. First, since I had been persecuted numerous times since 2002, and once deviated from Dafa under pressure, I unconsciously developed a thought in my mind, that is, I needed to be arrested again to make up for my loss while in detention. Now I have realized that this is an arrangement made by the old forces. Second, I still had the attachment of fear. Third, I did not study the Fa well. Even when I was studying the Fa, my mind always wandered. I wasn't able to do well according to the requirements of the Fa amidst tribulations.

I will resume Dafa cultivation. I hereby solemnly declare void all the actions and behavior of mine that do not conform to the Dafa. I will double my efforts to make up for the loss I have caused to Dafa. I will do well with the three things Teacher requires of us, not letting down Teacher's compassionate salvation, and become a qualified and determined Dafa disciple.

Solemn Statement

I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I was arrested on July 3, 2000 while practicing Dafa exercises in the courtyard. The police interrogated and tortured me, attempting to force me to turn in my Dafa books. Because I refused to cooperate with them, they handcuffed me and walked me around in the village, asking every household if they knew where I live. Finally they found my residence and took away all my Dafa books. After detaining me for several months, they sentenced me to two years and-a-half in a labor camp, without any legal procedure. While in detention, the guards and collaborators (former practitioners who have turned against Dafa under pressure) colluded with each other, and forced me to watch slanderous videotapes for long periods of time nonstop. They used tactics such as deceit, intimidation, and threatened me, trying to force me to give up my belief. At the same time, they also threatened my family members and asked them to persuade me to deviate from Dafa. All I saw was lies and hypocrisy, not a positive thing at all. I was very perplexed and just wanted to get away from detention. Therefore I wrote the so-called guarantee letter, finding myself an excuse to deviate from Dafa. I hereby solemnly declare all the things I said or did that do not conform to Dafa nullified. I will walk my path righteously. I will double my efforts to amend the losses I brought to Dafa.
