The Monk Jigong Saves A Whole Village from Sudden Disaster

(Clearwisdom.net) When I was touring Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province many years ago, a local tour guide told me a legend about the Feilai Peak (which means "Sudden Peak" in Chinese) in front of Lingyin Temple. Monk Jigong had a premonition that a mountain flying from India would soon crush a village near Lingyin Temple, and kill a lot of village people. [Jigong is a well-known Buddhist monk from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127 A.D.-1279 A.D.).] He knew that no one in the village would believe him if he told them his premonition. At the time, the entire village was attending a wedding ceremony. Jigong rushed at the bride, threw her over his shoulder, and started to run away from the village. The population of the entire village then went in pursuit after Jigong. The moment everyone had reached a safe area, a giant mountain suddenly fell on the village and completely destroyed it. This is the origin of Feilai Peak in front of Lingyin Temple.

Dear friends: Today Falun Gong practitioners are trying their best to let you understand that Falun Dafa is good, and that Falun Gong practitioners are suffering from atrocious tortures and injustice in every conceivable way. They are trying to expose the truth by hanging banners containing truth-clarification messages, posting truth-clarification flyers, broadcasting truth-clarification video programs on Chinese TV, etc. If for some reason you do not approve of these actions, please think of Jigong, who had to take an unusual measure in order to save a whole village of people. In order to present the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners have to risk their own lives. And they do not risk their lives for their own benefit, but for the sake of those who haven't learned the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution. Falun Gong is a cultivation practice of the Buddha school, based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. It requires that its cultivators reach the realm of complete altruism. It is a manifestation of sincere compassion and benevolence when Falun Gong cultivators risk their lives so that you will have a chance to learn the truth. Falun Gong practitioners are truly trying to save you from Jiang's deceitful lies, and they have your future best interest in mind.

Falun Gong practitioners do not seek anything in return, nor do they ask you to take a stand against anyone publicly. Their sole purpose is to bring the truth to you because the truth will set you free. Your kindness towards Falun Dafa will most certainly bring you eternal peace and joy.
