Ukraine: National TV Station Broadcasts Film about Zhang Cuiying (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net December 11, 2003) On November 26 and 27, 2003, Ukraine's national TV Station broadcast the program "Zhang Cuiying - Traditional Chinese Artist." The film introduced Ms. Zhang Cuiying's career as an artist, her physical and psychological benefits from practicing Falun Gong and her tragic story of being detained for eight months just for practicing Falun Gong and stating "Falun Dafa is Great." This program drew more attention to the persecution of Falun Gong in China, and also more people came to know that Ms. Zhang Cuiying has launched a lawsuit in the United Nations against the main persecutor of Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin.

The Chinese Embassy in Ukraine has tried to undermine Ukrainian Dafa practitioners' activities on two separate occasions: The first was in 2001 when practitioners were preparing an exhibition called "The Righteous Way." The second was in conjunction with Ms. Zhang Cuiying's painting exhibition in the Ukrainian capital in February 2003. After the interference, local Dafa practitioners persistently clarified the facts to the citizens, local government and media. Ms. Zhang also explained the truth to the media with the help of local practitioners and held a press conference to expose the actions of the Chinese regime. Clarifying the facts made more Ukrainian people see the evil regime clearly and because of this, the film about Zhang Cuiying was of great benefit to viewers in the Ukraine.

This incident illustrated effectively that persistent truth-clarification to the people of the world is the most effective way to restrain and eliminate the evil persecution.
