(Clearwisdom.net) Lately I haven't done the work of clarifying the truth as diligently as before, and justified it by thinking that whoever should be saved had already been saved, and it was therefore no use to clarify the truth to those left. Strangely enough, whenever I took the initiative to clarify the truth in the past, people would begin talking about Falun Gong before I even brought up the subject. These were people waiting to hear the truth about Falun Gong. But I have not encountered such people for a long time. When I asked fellow practitioners around me, they felt pretty much the same.

I knew this cultivation state was not right, but could not figure out why it was so. When I recently read Teacher's lectures since the Lantern Festival, I calmly analyzed myself and was startled to realize: My current state is not at all the state of a Dafa disciple! To validate the Fa and save sentient beings is the sacred duty that history had entrusted upon us. Following Teacher closely, we reincarnated into this maze of this dimension, experienced so much hardship, even lost our lives before; all in preparation for today so that we could validate the Fa and save sentient beings. How could we take lightly or even give up the historical duty entrusted upon us? Our consummation of cultivation, the establishment of our mighty virtue, the boundless wonder of our future worlds; all these depend on how well we fulfill our sacred duty now. If we neglect our historical responsibilities, how could we face our Teacher, who is trying so hard to save us? Teacher said , "...every person in the entire world was at one point part of my family (applause), including the worst people, or else they'd have no chance to be a human being during this time." ("Explaining the Fa during the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference") How can we judge who can or cannot be saved? For some people it is just not the right time yet or they are too deeply poisoned by the propaganda; for others it is probably due to our own bad mentality and poor attitude. However, if people cannot accept the truth when they first hear it, it does not mean they are not savable. As long as our heart is pure and righteous and we have the compassion to melt steel, when we clarify the truth, the results should be quite good. Those who you thought could not be saved originally could probably be saved now.

When I really look inside, I realized that the reason I am slacking off in truth clarification is because I attach so much to my sense of "self": I judge how good he or she is, and then I think I should do this or do that. Instead of putting the task of validating Dafa and saving sentient beings as the priority, my thoughts are centered around my "self," everything is from the perspective of my own likes and dislikes, revealing the deeply hidden obstacle of selfishness.

The root of the problem is that I did not study the Fa well, not understanding things from the Fa's perspective. So we must study the Fa well, break through ourselves, strengthen our sense of historical duty, try harder to continue clarifying the truth to ordinary people; we should take advantage of all opportunities without being hindered by formalities, to save as many people as possible. We know that people of today are much more than what they appear. If we save one ordinary person, we are actually saving countless sentient beings! So long as there is still a day left in Fa-rectification, those people poisoned by the evil's lies still have hope of being saved. We must not slack off in clarifying the truth for even one day!
