Bearing Witness to History: A Collective Appeal for Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 21, 1999, in the square in front of the government building of a seaside city in the north of China, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners silently waited for the appearance of government officials, as they requested the release of the Falun Gong practitioners illegally arrested on July 20. However, what they saw in the end were hundreds of policemen and armed riot police, and all kinds of police cars and arrest vehicles.

In a short time, the policemen and armed police surrounded the appealing Falun Gong practitioners, in spite of the fact that many of them were women or elderly. Policemen beat, abusively shouted at and finally arrested the Falun Gong practitioners who did not fight back no matter how much ill treatment they received. Some elderly practitioners were pushed to ground, and many female practitioners had their hair pulled out in bunches and thrown on the ground.

During that time there were many onlookers and more Falun Gong practitioners who were late in arriving to the scene. A policeman said to them: "Are there any Falun Gong practitioners among you? Do you dare to stand out if you are Falun Gong practitioners?"

Without hesitation, a good-looking young man of around 30 years old, 1.8 meters tall resolutely joined the Falun Gong practitioners that were surrounded by the circle of policemen. The exasperated policeman shouted at him: "You will see what you will get from me."

Not long after, many practitioners saw many different scenes: The Faluns of many colors were rotating all around them. Some of them saw Fa-protecting gods and some saw Teacher seated on the lotus. The practitioners were greatly inspired by these scenes.

Some practitioners cried out: "Teacher!" Some of them were in tears. It was exactly 9:00 a.m. by their watches.
