Dehui City Court Uses Violence against Dafa Practitioners' Family Members

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 14, 2003, Dehui City Court held an illegal trial against 13 Falun Gong practitioners illegally detained in the Dehui City Detention Center. Because the court violated the law by refusing to release the 13 practitioners after the legal detention period, some family members were apprehensive for Dafa practitioners' safety and went to the court to appeal for the release of these practitioners. However, the court had already set an illegal rule to deny all requests for meetings from the Falun Gong practitioners' families. On the morning of November 14, eight family members were blocked at the first floor of the court, and forbidden to go upstairs to meet the Administration Chairman. They patiently waited in the lobby for the entire morning, hoping for a chance of a meeting.

Shortly after 1:00 p.m., a few more family members of the detained practitioners hurried to the court. They happened to come upon the court's Administration Chairman, Mr. Wang Jishen, and demanded an answer to why their families were still detained beyond the maximum detention period. Mr. Wang curtly said this issue did not fall under his job responsibilities and did not have an answer. Then he went upstairs abruptly. The bailiffs stopped the family members from following Mr. Wang. When they tried to follow Mr. Wang upstairs, a law enforcement officer in civilian clothes barbarically pushed an elderly lady in her 60's or 70's to ground. After the elderly woman was knocked down to the floor, the court's deputy head, Mr. Sheng Yuzhong, barked, "Get two bailiffs to throw the old bag out." Soon, Dehui City Public Security's police patrol van arrived at the courtyard of Dehui City Court.

The head of Dehui City Court, Mr. Zhao Hongtian, brutishly snapped, "Evict them NOW." Two bailiffs savagely dragged the elderly lady out to the courtyard and even lost her shoes during the process. Seeing that their excessive violence had already frightened other family members who started to flee and abandon the brutalized old lady, the depraved policemen became all the more encouraged and chased one of the family members who had already trotted away from the court. Two police officers pounced on the family member (assumed to be a man). Each police officer grabbed one of his arms while dragging him back to the court where the police car was parked. The policemen kept dragging the poor man on the ground for several tens of meters in distance. His pants were torn due to the friction and his legs were severely bruised in purple and blue. They abducted him into the police van where they started to beat him savagely. The guy eventually struggled to escape from the police van. As for the elderly lady, she was forced to remain in the courtyard until her family members, who heard the news, came to escort her home.
