After My Husband Was Kidnapped: The Powerful Effects of Righteous Thoughts and Clarifying the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 10, 2003, the head of my husband's workplace and the local "610 Office" brought along eight or nine people and kidnapped my husband, and brought him to a brainwashing center. [610 Office - an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.]

In 2002, in "Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference," Teacher said, "Wherever there's a problem, that is where you need to clarify the truth and save people. Don't take a detour when you run into difficulties."

My first thought was that the kidnapping of my husband was a part of the evil force's persecution of Falun Dafa and its practitioners; I must expose this bad deed and let more people know about the truth. My daughter and I wrote an article on what the "610 Office" had done that evening. We published the article on the Internet first. Then we put the article on flyers and distributed them in neighborhoods and public areas. I also wrote a letter to the head of the "610 Office" explaining to him that good will be rewarded and evil will be punished. At the same time, I sent truth-clarifying materials to him and his supervisor.

Furthermore, I notified other practitioners that the "610 Office" had arrested my husband. We all sent forth pure and powerful righteous thoughts for the fellow practitioners at the brainwashing center. When my husband called me using a borrowed cell phone, I helped him to recognize his loopholes in his cultivation and encouraged him to have righteous thoughts and actions. I asked a person who was going to visit my husband to bring him Teacher's articles and poems. Strengthened by Teacher, and with the help of fellow practitioners' strong righteous thoughts, my husband refused to eat and drink at the brainwashing center. A few days later, he was taken to a hospital and was able to get away.

Two hours after my husband got out, plainclothes policemen surrounded my apartment building. My child and I lost our freedom; wherever we went, they would follow. At first, we raised our guard against them; we tried to be rational, careful, and didn't take any chances with them.

Later on, I realized that whomever I came into contact with must have a predestined relationship with me. I could not miss any opportunity to clarify the truth to them. One day, from my apartment upstairs I saw two plainclothes police officers. So, I went down and walked toward a market. As they were following me, I turned around and walked straight to them and said, "It doesn't matter if you know me or not, I am telling you one thing that is good for you: Helping Falun Dafa practitioners is an act of great virtue. Can you remember that?" To my surprise, one of them said, "Yes." I was really happy for him. When I was walking away, I noticed they did not follow me anymore.

Another day, I saw that two people had us under surveillance. I came out and one of them immediately followed me. So I turned and walked toward him, but he went away. I then went to the park where the other plainclothes policeman was sitting. I clarified the facts to him. I told him why Jiang persecutes Falun Gong. I talked about the Tiananmen Square massacre on June 4, 1989, how former Chinese chairman Liu Shaoqi was tortured to death. I told him all about the persecution of Falun Gong, and that the truth of all of these events is hidden under lies and deceit. He asked a few questions which I answered. I asked him, "If you see my husband, will you arrest him again?" He said, "No, I won't." I was very happy that he now knew and understood the truth.

One week later, I realized that all the plainclothes police had left. A person from the Security Department called and said, "We have withdrawn, you can tell your husband to come home now. We are not going to arrest him." Since then, no one harasses us anymore.
