1) In early March 2003, the First Group of the Third Team of the Banqiao Labor Education Center in Tianjin City established what they called a "Law Education Class," which is in fact an illegal brainwashing class that forces Falun Gong practitioners to give up their belief through the use of violence. The persecution includes depriving practitioners of sleep. Those who refused to renounce their belief receive brutal torture, such as electric shock by an electric baton on the neck, under the arms, and on their genital areas, striking their cheeks with fists, striking the throat with edge of the palm, pounding the joints on the legs with a hammer (which is called "disjointing the legs."), burning along the ribcage with a lighter (which is called "washing the ribs"), beating between the ribs, and kicking the joints etc.

2) Falun Gong practitioner Li Bingying and Zhou Guilan of Daqing City have been illegally detained at the Daqing Detention Center for over 50 days. Zhou Guilan was physically tortured for five days for resisting the persecution and refusing to wear a prison uniform. She went on a hunger strike for over 40 days to protest. Recently the police at the Chengfeng Police Station of Rang District in Daqing City extorted over 300 yuan from Li and Zhou's families, in the name of the so-called medical examination fee. Actually the police planned to send them to the drug rehabilitation center for persecution. Another two practitioners Zhou Guihua and Liu Minxia are illegally detained now at the Hongweixing Brainwashing Class in Daqing City. The work unit of Zhou Guihua (Li Bingying, Liu Minxia and Zhou Guihua all work for the Heating Power Company) extorted over 10,000 Yuan from her family, saying that she would be released once the money was paid. However, she was still sent to the brainwashing class even though the extorted money was paid, and the family was again coerced into paying an additional 5,000 Yuan fee for the two-month brainwashing sessions. Li Bingying's family was forced to turn in his salary card.

3) Liang Jingli and other Falun Gong practitioners from Zhaozhou County, Daqing City suffered various forms of persecution, including time at the forced labor camp and having money extorted from them because they would not renounce their belief in the Dafa principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." In August 2000, Liang Jingli, Hu Renquan, Chen Hongwei, Zhao Hua and other Falun Gong practitioners were kidnapped by the authorities and sent to brainwashing sessions held by the police at Zhaozhou County . They were sentenced to one-year illegal forced labor during the brainwashing session, and were forced to walk in the streets of Zhaozhou Town, Zhaozhou County in the rain. In August 2001, five Falun Gong practitioners including Liang Jingli, Hu Renquan, Li Xia, Cui Shuqin etc were kidnapped by the authorities and sent to the Zhaozhou Detention Center. They walked out from the detention center using their wisdom. The Public Security Bureau of Zhaozhou County became panicked and deployed all the police in the county for a massive search. They disturbed people across the county. Practitioners' families and neighbors were all disturbed and harassed.

4) In 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Fan Yunpu from Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province went to Beijing to validate Dafa. He was illegally arrested by the Zhengding County Public Security Bureau authorities and was detained at the Zhengding County Detention Center for over nine months. She was later illegally sentenced to three years in Tangshan prison. Her husband is also a Falun Gong practitioner. In March 2002, Hu Jun, vice chairman of Zhengding County Public Security Bureau and a group of police searched her family business. They later went to her home and finally kidnapped Fan's husband and sent him to the detention center, where he was subjected to both psychological and physical torture. He was sentenced to four years in prison and is currently being detained at the Taihang Prison in Baoding City. Their teenage boy is at home alone.

5) In December 2000, Li Jing, employee at Dagang Department Store in Tianjin City, was coaxed by the former Party Secretary of the Dagang Department Store to his office and was locked up there. She was later sent to a brainwashing session. She went on hunger strike while in the brainwashing class and was sent to the detention center of Dagang Public Security Bureau. Li Jing was handcuffed to a metal door on numerous occasions, one time overnight, after which she lost consciousness. She was detained at the Fifth Team at Banqiao Female Labor Education Center for a year and was later sent to the Second Team. Li Jing has been very firm in her belief in Falun Dafa. Accordingly, Li Jing was sentenced to an additional year. Her term has been up for a long time, but the police refuse to release her.

6) Jiutai Labor Education Center in Jilin Province carried out inhuman persecution toward Falun Gong practitioners. They beat practitioners with electric batons, pickax handles, steel wires, and hit and kicked them. Practitioners resisted the persecution and remained firm in their belief in Falun Dafa. The authorities do not allow practitioners to sleep, and they curse, threaten, and carry out physical torture against Falun Dafa practitioners. Currently there are over 100 Falun Gong practitioners that are being illegally detained past their original sentences at the Jiutai Labor Education Center. Moreover, they wrote to practitioners' families, asking them to persuade the Falun Gong practitioners. Although the evil has used all its means, they could not force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their belief in Teacher and Dafa.

In 2001, I was sent by the authorities to a detention center for sending truth-clarification materials. One day all Falun Gong practitioners there shouted continuously: "Falun Dafa is good!" "Falun Dafa is the Righteous Fa!" One mute girl in her 20's was deeply touched. Although she does not know how to speak, she followed us excitedly. Gradually she was able to shout out "Fa!" She was released three days later.
