Germany: "Broadcasting Month for the Rescue of Xiong Wei" Running Smoothly

(Clearwisdom.net) January the 5, 2004 marks the 2nd anniversary of Xiong Wei's illegal detention in Beijing's Xin-An Female Labor Camp. Before being imprisoned in China, she had studied in Germany for six years. January 5, 2004 is the day she is supposed to be released. Subsequent to practitioners' recent rescue efforts, including bicycle tour and a "Week of Calling China," German practitioners have planned a series of activities this December to speed up and support Xiong Wei's release.

December 8 is Xiong Wei's birthday and December 10 is World Human Rights Day, so practitioners decide to name this December "Broadcasting Month for Rescuing Xiong Wei." The main approach is to give a song to German Radio Stations entitled "Free Xiong Wei," which was written and composed by a western Falun Gong practitioner. This is an effective way to let the German people learn more about Xiong Wei's illegal detention.

After listening to practitioners' introduction about the persecution of Falun Gong and Xiong Wei's detention in China, the management of the radio station decided to broadcast the song. The broadcast was made on Xiong Wei's birthday as a birthday blessing. German people who listened to the song on the radio had the opportunity to learn about Xiong Wei and the facts of the persecution against Falun Gong in China. Another radio station also broadcast Xiongwei's story and sent their blessings to her.

During the "Week of Calling China" several months ago, this song was aired in China over the telephone. The following is the English translation of the song.

Xiong Wei, a 32-year-old female studied at Berlin Technical University until 1999. On the 5th January 2002, while distributing material about the persecution of Falun Gong, she was arrested in Beijing.

Xiong Wei the whole world needs to know, where you are.
You have been put behind barb wire and walls.
There is no freedom, no law, no justice.
