Assistant Professor Wu Xiaohua of the Anhui Institute of Architecture and Industry Has Been Arrested Multiple Times

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently released from an illegal sentence of forced labor, Ms. Wu Xiaohua, assistant professor at the Anhui Institute of Architecture and Industry, has again been arrested for exposing the facts of the persecution against Falun Gong. According to inside information, this is the ninth time she has been arrested.

Late in April of this year Ms. Wu Xiaohua completed her 18 month term in a forced labor camp. Because she refused to give up practicing Falun Dafa, her term was extended for two months. Ms. Wu went on a hunger strike to oppose the extension, and the police ordered other detainees to brutally force-feed her. To accomplish this, four of her teeth were dislodged. She experienced brutal torture in the forced labor camp as well as in the mental hospital, which left her struggling for existence, and on the verge of death several times. Long-term inhuman persecution made her hair almost totally white and her health extremely weak. As a result, Ms. Wu was released on probation on May 13, 2003.

After release, she continued her efforts to expose the facts of the persecution. She was arrested twice in other cities after people reported her activities to the authorities. Each time she was released immediately. On the night of November 16, 2003, Ms. Wu was arrested again after being reported for exposing the facts. She is currently detained in the Second Detention Center in Hefei City, Anhui Province (tel. 86-551-4482092).
