Dafa Practitioner Shen Yanli and Her Brother Were Abducted While Visiting Their Mother Detained in A Zhengzhou City Prison
By a Chinese practitioner (Clearwisdom.net) On November 24, Dafa practitioner Shen Yanli, who was from
Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, visited her mother Xu Songduo at the Xinxiang
Women's Prison where she was being detained. Yanli went with her brother and
cousin. However, the prison authorities detained them on the spot with a bogus
charge of "passing messages to the prisoner." Working together with Zhengzhou
Chengguan Police Station they transferred Yanli's party of three back to
Zhengzhou City, and interrogated them separately. On the afternoon of the same
day, they also searched and ransacked the home of Dr. Yang who was kind and
generous enough to allow Yanli to stay at his home. Shen Yanli, 23, went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun
Dafa with her mother back on June 27, 2000. They were abducted and detained at
the Qianmen Police Station on the 28th. Her mother was savagely
kicked and beaten by a policeman. He beat her mother hard with a broomstick
until it was broken. Finally the policeman stopped beating her after he got
tired. They were then transferred to the Changping Detention Center. The police
there forced practitioners to step on Teacher's picture, but their cruel attempt
was thwarted by the practitioners who collectively went on a hunger strike to
protest the maltreatment. All practitioners that were on the hunger strike were
later forced fed on a daily basis. Fifteen days later, the police transferred Yanli's mother back to Zhengzhou
City. When she refused to give up practicing Dafa when interrogated, they
increased her sentence to an additional 40 days of detention. After being
detained at the Beijing Liaison Office for 3 days, the school authority took
Yanli back and continued to coerce her to give up her faith in Dafa. She was
released after her relatives posted bail. Yanli's father was shocked by the
sudden incident, and his health and mental condition deteriorated as time went
by. Yanli's relative took her brother home to provide care for him. On December 5, 2000, Yanli and her mother were again detained with the charge
of "disrupting public safety and social order" after they were reported while
clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people. Yanli's mother was released
after 10 days because she told the truth about Dafa to every policeman,
including the chief, using her personal experience as an example. Her mother's
kindness and sincerity touched the heart of the police. On December 28, Yanli
was also released and she came back home. In 2001, the school forcefully expelled Yanli after their attempt to send her
to the brainwashing class was exposed. The Dongsan Road Police and deputies took
Yanli and her mother into custody from a relative's home. The next day Yanli
escaped after her mother was released. In March 2001, Yanli was detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Zhengzhou
City for distributing Dafa pamphlets. After she went on hunger strike for 8 days
she was sentenced to one-year labor re-education at the Shibalihe Women's Labor
Camp. On December 31, 2001, Yanli's mother was arrested after she was reported by
the village party secretary while she was distributing Dafa flyers in villages
in the Zhongmou County. After suffering nightlong interrogations and torture
sessions, she was detained at the Zhongmou County Detention Center. She
continued to practice in jail and spread the truth about Dafa to inmates. After
failing to get ransoms from her relatives, they sentenced her to 4 years at the
Xinxiang Women's Prison in secrecy without notifying her relatives. After Yanli got out of Shibalihe Labor Camp, she hardly had time to see her
family. Even though her mother Xu Songduo was still under detention, deputies
from Zhongmou Public Security Bureau, the Procurator office, and the local
police kept harassing them by constantly looking for Yanli's whereabouts. Under
the pressure of all the threats, no relatives dared to accommodate Yanli. Yanli
lost her residence after the school expelled her; and she could not gain
residence at home because the Dongsan Road Police Station refused to accept her
application because she practiced Dafa. Yanli's ailing father was unable to
suffer any more hardship and coercion; he passed away on December 2, 2002 at
only 54, leaving his 13-year-old son who was being cared for by Yanli's uncle. A
good family was destroyed. To this day Yanli and her brother were detained just because they paid a
visit to their mother in prison, and their relatives were still subject to the
fate of search and harassment. More people were implicated because of them. Furthermore, the police found a Dafa information distribution point on the
night of November 30. The Guancheng police also abducted Dafa practitioner Li
Zhong from his photo shop. Individuals and parties directly responsible: Guancheng Public Security Bureau: Switchboard: 86-371-6229936 Guancheng District "610 Office" Chief: Zheng Xinfeng: 86-371-6259599(W), 86-138317115030(C),
