With a Death Certificate Prepared Beforehand, Police in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province Attempt to Beat a Dafa Practitioner to Death

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Yang Guang, originally from Shezhou City, Anhui Province, worked in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. In 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal and was savagely beaten by police in Tiananmen Square. Because of the severe injuries he received from this beating, he was sent to a hospital. Several days later, he was transferred to the detention center in Haidian District, Beijing. Three months later, under police escort, he went back to Anhui Province to visit his father who was critically ill. On the way back to his hometown, he escaped the police with righteous thoughts. From that point on, he had to move from place to place in order to avoid further persecution.

Two years later, the local police in Huizhou City went to his home to arrest him. Since he was not home, the police then took away the nanny and sent her to the detention center. They threatened her to tell the whereabouts of Yang Guang, but got nothing from her. Then the police held Yang Guang's sister and wife as hostages, and jailed them in the detention center. After 41 days of interrogation, his sister and wife still would not cooperate. The police then released his sister, but charged his wife with "hiding criminals" and sent her to the Sanshui Women's Labor Camp for one year. Now she has finished her term and has been released.

In 2003, Yang Guang was arrested by police and sent to the detention center in Huizhou City. As soon as he was sent there, he started a hunger strike to protest the brutal persecution. The detention center police and guards tied his hands with steel wire and hung him up. Dozens of people together beat him savagely. As a result, Yang Guang was covered with wounds all over his body. Moreover, the "610" police colluded with the detention center authorities and prepared a death certificate stating Yang died of a sudden illness. With the certificate in hand, they planned to beat him to death.

That night, the guards beat Yang Guang. He cried for help and was heard by a policeman on patrol. He came to stop the beating; otherwise Yang would have surely lost his life.

On the 23rd day of his hunger strike, Yang Guang was extremely weak and in grave danger. Only then did the detention center send him to the hospital. Three months later, the "610" police illegally sentenced him to three years of forced labor education and sent him to the Sanshui Labor Camp in Guangdong Province.
