Facts of the Persecution in Qixian County, Henan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 1, 2003 police officers jumped into practitioner Ms. Peng Suzhi's backyard, abducted her, and sent her to the Shibalihe Female Labor Camp in Zhenzhou City for one year.

On July 3, 2003 police abducted practitioner Qian Zhong'an and detained him for 40 days at the Qixian County Detention Center. The police extorted 500 Yuan from him [Yuan is the Chinese currency. The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is 500 Yuan].

On July 11 police abducted practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuyun while she distributed truth clarification materials and detained her at the Qixian County Detention Center. On July 27 she was sent to the Shibalihe Female Labor Camp in Zhenzhou City. It was discovered that she suffered from severe illnesses, and the labor camp refused to accept her. The authorities then sent her back to Qixian County Detention Center. In order to resist the evil persecution, Wang Xiuyun held a hunger strike and was subsequently sent to the Zhenzhou City Labor Camp for one year.

On August 7 police abducted practitioner Mi Chengli while he distributed truth clarification materials. He was sent to the Qixian County Detention Center, was later sentenced to three years of forced labor, and was sent to Kaifeng Labor Camp.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Jiling was abducted before the Sixteenth Party Congress. On April 7, 2003 she was illegally sentenced to five years of forced labor and is currently being detained at the Xinxiang Labor Camp in Henan Province.
