Regarding the Lawsuits Against Jiang Zemin and Other Chinese Officials for their Crimes of Persecuting Falun Gong: A Declaration by the Irish Falun Dafa Association

(Clearwisdom.net) Whereas, testimonies by many victims from different countries who have been personally persecuted in China, reports from the UN Human Rights Commission Working Groups, reports from Human Rights organizations etc. have all proved without doubt that the on-going persecution of Falun Gong in China instigated by Jiang Zemin has caused the killing, torturing, illegal detention of numerous Falun Gong practitioners;

Whereas, according to the International Convention against Torture and the International Convention against Genocide, all countries have the responsibility of bringing those who have committed such crimes to justice;

Whereas, according to Irish law if any behavior happening abroad has harmed Irish people's life in Ireland, then the persons committing such behavior can be sued in an Irish court;

Whereas, Irish citizens and residents have suffered from the persecution personally;

Whereas, Jiang Zemin's regime has extended the persecution to Ireland and has harmed Irish people's lives. After the persecution started, two cases of Irish Falun Gong practitioners' homes in Ireland being ransacked and carefully searched have happened, but there were no cash or expensive things stolen. Obviously no ordinary thieves would do this;

Whereas, lawsuits based on national law and international law suing Jiang Zemin for crimes of torture, genocide and crimes against humanity are being prepared, have been filed or being reviewed by courts in countries all over the world including United States, Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, UK, Australia etc;

1. Regarding that for all lawyers and judges in international legal circles how they act facing such crimes, that have deprived hundreds and thousands of lives and the basic human rights of millions of people in the country having the biggest population in the world, will have major consequences for what the standard of justice in this world will be in the future;
2. Regarding bringing Jiang Zemin and other criminal officials to justice is the responsibility of all solicitors, barristers, judges and academic professionals in international legal circles, so as to prevent the on-going persecution of Falun Gong in China to develop into an even larger scale of genocide in the manner of Adolph Hitler's regime in Nazi Germany.

Therefore, the Irish Falun Dafa Association

1. Has decided to initiate legal cases in Ireland to sue Jiang Zemin and other Chinese officials who have been involved in the persecution of Falun Gong. We have been in consultation with solicitors and barristers;
2. Believes that these legal cases will be setting a precedent in human rights law and international law in Ireland;
3. Calls on all kind hearted people in Ireland and the world to be concerned for and support our legal action.
