Some Thoughts after a Court Hearing in Montreal

(Clearwisdom.net) Last Friday I attended the court hearing in Montreal, and have some thoughts to share.

Initially I always thought that the case had little to do with my own affairs because of the following three reasons: firstly, the libel case against a newspaper is not as far-reaching as a case against Jiang; secondly, I was not a plaintiff; thirdly, I was too busy in my studies and work to spend the time on it. In fact I didn't look upon the matter from the perspective of the Fa.

We are here in this unprecedented Fa-rectification period, so anything relevant to the Fa-rectification cannot be a trifling matter. When a fellow practitioner shared her thoughts with me after returning from the first day's hearing, I told her that I could not make the hearing because I would have seven classes on the coming Friday. She asked me: "What if you really wanted to go? What should be placed as priority in this period?" Then I was determined to go. I asked for leave from some classes, and changed the schedule with the teacher for the one in which there was an exam. Thus I was able to go to the hearing.

In court, I truly perceived the powerful energy field of Dafa practitioners. When I sent forth righteous thoughts, I felt that a Falun was turning my body, causing it to tremble slightly on its own. I realized the importance of being in close proximity in sending forth righteous thoughts there. After one day in the hearing my legs were very painful, but I knew this was a reflection of the great battle in other dimensions. It was something I had never experienced before.

Our lawyer had emphasized the importance of this hearing twice:

First of all, we represent not only ourselves but also the Dafa practitioners throughout the world. What we are defending is Dafa, because the case has gone beyond an ordinary libel case since the opposite side slandered Dafa and Teacher.

Secondly, this was the first time in a western court that Falun Gong practitioners have detailed the persecution they have experienced. It was unprecedented in our exposing the evil and clarifying the truth.

Our lawyer told the judge: "If you make a fair verdict on the case, maybe it will be the beginning of China's stopping the persecution of Falun Gong."

I think what he said is reasonable. We shouldn't have any attachment to the result, but we must do well according to the requirements of the Fa-rectification throughout the whole process. Every Dafa practitioner should have righteous thoughts and determination in this matter.
