Germany: Falun Gong Information Day Held in Regensburg on World Human Rights Day
(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of December 10, World Human Rights
Day, a Falun Gong Information Day was held in Regensburg by a local college,
together with Falun Gong practitioners. A practitioner who has directly
experienced the persecution recounted her experiences of being
"brainwashed" and a representative of the NGO "International
Association for Human Rights" spoke, encouraging action to end this
persecution. A report entitled, "Persecution and the Economy" was also
presented, explaining the relationship between the persecution of Falun Gong and
the Chinese economy. The report on the relationship between the Jiang regime's
persecution, the Chinese economy and foreign investment cited the example of the
use of Falun Gong practitioners performing extended hours of forced labor
without any pay in labor camps. It pointed out that products exported from China
are closely linked to violations of human rights. The practitioner who had suffered directly at the hands of the Jiang regime
described how she has benefited physically and spiritually from practicing Falun
Gong in China, but had been forcibly "brainwashed" for quite some time
since the persecution of Falun Gong began. She recounted how her youthful
innocence had been damaged and her mind twisted by the immoral brainwashing. The representative from the NGO "International Association for Human
Rights" in Karmu city encouraged people to act according to their
conscience: "We cannot watch unjust treatment being done to others without
doing something ourselves while living in this world. We should take some
action, and do something for the tens of thousands Falun Gong practitioners who
are suffering in prison." A reporter from Africa was also interested in the topic and interviewed Falun
Gong practitioners who were present at the event.
