Death of Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Liang as a Result of Torture at the Maoming City Human Resource Bureau (Photos)

Li Liang

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Liang, 45 years old, worked at Maoming City Human Resources Bureau. He began Falun Gong practice in 1998 and his chronic Hepatitis B was completely cured and he fully recovered. In May 2003, perpetrators from Maoming City "610 Office" abducted him. Because Mr. Li Liang refused to give up Dafa practice, he was detained at the Sanshui Labor Camp in Guangzhou City, where he was not allowed to study the Fa or do the exercises. He was tortured until his lower limbs swelled severely. He passed away on November 26, 2003 after the hospital staff failed to revive him. The following is his story.

Mr. Li Liang lived in Nansheng, Maoming City. He used to suffer from chronic, aggravated Hepatitis B. In October 1998, Li Liang began practicing Falun Gong. After a while, a routine body exam revealed that he had the health of a normal person. Li Liang then became even more determined in Dafa practice.

On May 30, 2003, perpetrators named Peng Jian, Yang Weijie, Wu Ke, Li Bin from Maoming City "610 Office" and Yao Kangxin from Maoming City Human Resources Bureau broke into Li Liang's home, abducted Li Liang, ransacked his home and sent him to Maoming Detention Center. Because Li Liang persisted in Dafa practice and refused to write a "reform statement," the perpetrators from "610 Office" illegally sentenced him to three years of forced labor. They assigned him to Group Five, Division Three at the Sanshui Labor Camp. The guards there fiendishly tortured Li Liang until he was near death and his lower limbs swelled severely. They then hastened him to Sanshui People's Hospital for emergency treatment.

On November 24, 2003, Sanshui City People's Hospital officials sent Mr. Li Liang to Room 204 on the second floor of the hospital's Tumor Division. The doctors diagnosed Li Liang with terminal liver cancer, accompanied by chronic Hepatitis B. Later, Li Liang's liver ruptured and he suffered an internal hemorrhage. Mr. Li Liang passed away on November 26, 2003 after a surgical procedure failed to revive him.

One news source says that each guard at Sanshui Labor Camp would receive 20,000 Yuan reward for "reforming" one Falun Gong practitioner. The guards used horrific tortures in order to "reform" the practitioners.

Persons who took part in the abuse, torment, torture and persecution of Mr. Li Liang are the following individuals: Yang Weijie, Wu Ke, Li Bin, Lin Ke, Li Ke, Yang Hui, Wu Zhongbao from Maoming City "610 Office;" collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to torture and brainwashing] Zhang Chongyun, Tan Zhilin, Wu Wenqiong, and Peng Jian from Maonan District Police Department (he was transferred to Maoming City Hedong Police Station).

One of Li Liang's friends recently investigated his cause of death. Relevant government officials tightly blocked any information and tried to arrest this man. An official with the last name Lin at the worker's office from Maoming City Human Resources Bureau (668-2281-375) avoided talking about Li Liang's death, and a man last named Li at Maoming City "610 Office" (668-2910-610) who tried to arrest Li Liang's friend who called for information said, "Only if you come over to our office will we be able to talk to you about the details."
