Falun Gong Practitioners Welcome Wen Jiabao's Visit to the U.S.; Jiang's Political Lies Collapse on Their Own

On December 7, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao began his four-day official visit to the U.S. and Falun Gong practitioners unfurled banners reading: "Welcome Wen Jiabao to the US," "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice" and "Falun Dafa is Great" at many sites he visited. They welcomed Wen Jiabao with a peaceful demonstration of group exercises, and requested that Jiang Zemin, the head of the criminal persecution of Falun Gong, be brought to justice. On December 7, when Wen Jiabao's motorcade left the hotel for a meeting, accompanying personnel greeted Falun Gong practitioners with a friendly wave.

This is a sharp contrast to Jiang Zemin's tours overseas. Wherever he went, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated with peaceful protests, condemnation and lawsuits, exposing the political lies concocted by Jiang's small group at the huge expense of national finances to defame Falun Gong.

For the past few years, Jiang Zemin has abused his position as the leader of China, exhausting public funds, and fabricating lies to blaspheme and denounce Falun Gong in a manner reminiscent of the Cultural Revolution. When he finally toured overseas, he met with people who had not been poisoned by his anti-Falun Gong movement, or what he called "Nationalism." Practitioners' welcoming activities for Wen Jiabao clearly express that Falun Gong is neither anti-China nor against the Chinese Government, shattering the lies concocted by Jiang and his followers.

Falun Gong has always pursued goodness and has never been against any government, country or people. Falun Gong practitioners treat the Chinese people, overseas governments and people, including those misled by lies, and even the police who persecute them, kindly. Everything we have done is to clear away misunderstanding of Falun Gong and dispel lies, allowing everyone a fair and objective judgment of Falun Gong based on their own understanding.

Jiang has spread lies to fool people, attempting to influence their notions and corrupting their understanding of his relationship with the Chinese government and Chinese people. He is a disgrace to the Chinese people, treating China, the Chinese Government and China's ruling Party as his own personal property. Jiang Zemin does not represent China, the Chinese Government or the Chinese people, just as Hitler did not represent Germany or the German people. He is just the leader of a small, corrupt group. Jiang's persecution of innocent people who follow the principles of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is a moral stain on China's image. Through protests, condemnations and lawsuits, Falun Gong practitioners are being responsible to China and the Chinese people.

This sharp contrast in how Falun Gong practitioners received the two leaders shows that Falun Gong is not against the government, but simply against the persecution, exposing it in order to let people understand the truth. What Falun Gong protests and condemns is the head criminal, Jiang Zemin, who started this bloody persecution, and his corrupt followers who participate in the persecution.

Jiang appears strong but is weak inside, and his accomplices have hidden their criminal behavior behind the banners of the government, the Party, and even "the Chinese people," in attempt to escape punishment by law. Falun Gong practitioners see Jiang's criminal group and the Chinese government as separate, so these criminals can no longer mask their crimes. Fully exposed, Jiang Zemin and his accomplices will be held accountable for the crimes that are recorded in history.

Falun Gong unfurled the welcoming banner and showed the world that the group has no political agenda. As a spiritual practice, Falun Gong pursues moral improvement. Falun Gong has no desire to build a utopia, or heaven on earth, and would never consider getting involved in a worldly political system or power struggle. For Falun Gong practitioners, what truly enables people to obtain eternal happiness is their acknowledgement of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is a universal standard that everyone should respect.

Over the past four years, in the face of an unjust persecution and brutal suppression, Falun Gong practitioners have never taken any violent means; instead, they have maintained kindness, compassion and tolerance in telling people the facts about Falun Gong. Practitioners' peaceful and rational acts have exposed Jiang's regime's lies, while practitioners in China have risked their lives to uphold their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance by resisting Jiang's group's slander and persecution of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, the key to improved moral standard.

In the eyes of practitioners, things like political parties, governments or political power do not really matter, what matters is each individual. Their condemning Jiang Zemin's regime does not have anything to do with the Chinese government, just as their welcoming Wen Jiabao to the U. S., with a request to bring Jiang to justice doesn't mean Falun Gong supports any government, political Party, political system or political figure. It is not an act with political implications, nor is it begging. Practitioners treat everyone with benevolence and help them be responsible for themselves and others within their families and social environment. On the issue of the persecution of Falun Gong, practitioners hope people can follow their conscience and form a just opinion

After four years of brutal persecution carried out by certain segments of the Chinese government under Jiang's coercion, Falun Gong is still able to use the word "welcome" for a new Chinese leader. This demonstrates Falun Gong practitioners' noble realm of tolerance, peace, and rationality. Historically, if such a large group were persecuted by a political power like Jiang's, violence and bloodshed would have started long ago. The peace, rationality, kindness and justice brought forth by following Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is a model for establishing goodness and beauty in the world. It will be an example followed by the human race, recorded in history and praised by the world's people.
