Be a Good Particle of Dafa (Part II)

Teacher said,

"...but today's test is relentless, as no human attachment can be taken to heaven." (Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference, Guiding the Voyage)

"As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are strong enough the old forces can't do a thing." (Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.)

It is very dangerous if we continue like this. If each of us Dafa particles is not doing well, it will impact the Fa-rectification situation in our area, and our area as a whole is also a particle of the whole body, and if we are not doing well it will impact the Fa-rectification situation as a whole. Teacher also told us,

"You're troubled, and Master is troubled for you too--I'm troubled that you haven't let go of your attachments and that you haven't reached a high level of understanding of the Fa, and that when you resolve one problem you create new problems. (Sigh)" (Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference)

We should not let Master worry about us any more and we must rectify the situation. Teacher also reminded us,

"Once you've done something wrong, seen where it was wrong, and recognized it, then do it well next time, do it over. If you trip and fall, and just keep lying there instead of getting up, (audience laughs) then that's no good." (Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference).

What should we do? I think we should do the following three things well:

1. Study the Fa well, cultivate ourselves well and continually improve ourselves. Along with studying Zhuan Falun, we should also conduct a systematic study of Master's teachings and explanations of the Fa since July 20, 1999. We should not attend to one thing and lose sight of another. While studying the Fa, we should maintain a mind of purity and guarantee the quality of Fa study. Our current problems include that some practitioners do not study the Fa enough, and their Fa-study is no more than superficial in form. Some do not pay enough attention to Fa-study and tend to ignore it when they are busy, and some study the Fa as if they have to accomplish a task. Each of us should truly ask ourselves: What is the basis of our Fa-study? Do we have a pure state of mind when studying the Fa? Teacher told us,

"When you study the Fa, don't do it while holding on to some attachments. You have to calm your mind and be truly studying the Fa. Don't study with some purpose in mind. When you study the Fa, you can't let your mind wander or think about other things while studying the Fa. You can't do that or you'll learn nothing." "You're still continually changing this most surface part that hasn't changed. That's why you can't go without studying the Fa. You must study the Fa well. In the process of studying the Fa you'll be able to keep clearing away bad elements in yourself, changing the last bit of stuff you have that hasn't yet been changed." (Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference)

and,

"Whatever happens, only by keeping up your Fa-study can you get rid of your human thoughts, can you get rid of your attachments, and can you thus be unaffected by any human things."(Teaching the Fa at the Washington D.C. Fa Conference)

We should make an effort to find our last attachment through Fa study and get rid of it. We should clean up our own dimension so that we would not be a drag on the Fa-rectification as one body.

2. Place our basic starting point properly, be clearheaded about our responsibilities as Dafa disciples and proactively participate in Fa-rectification. Teacher taught us,

"As you already know, Dafa disciples have gone through the process of Consummation, and history today has bestowed upon Dafa disciples an even greater responsibility: not your own liberation and Consummation, but saving more sentient beings. That's why you deserve to be Dafa disciples. So, you've been granted such a great, historic responsibility, and along with it you are given corresponding honor." (Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference)

We have come to assist Master in Fa-rectification and we should take the initiatives in perfecting what Master wants to achieve. However, some practitioners still confine themselves in the stage of personal cultivation and they think: I'm also studying the Fa and cultivating myself, and Master is looking after me. I won't be left behind. They pursue comfort, just like what a fellow practitioner said on Clearwisdom that they have an attachment to using Dafa and fail to have a clear understanding about what Dafa practitioners are here for. Some practitioners have a rather strong attachment to personal interest and oneself, and when something happens they would first of all check if it has any impact on themselves. Some practitioners tend to rely on others, always waiting for others to work something out and doing what they are told to do. If there is a problem, they always take a wait-and-see attitude and fail to enlighten based on the Fa principles and to do what one can do on one's own initiative or to try to think of a better way and consequently affect the whole body. Teacher told us,

"If you are without the Goodness (Shan) that a Dafa disciple has, then you are not a cultivator. If a Dafa disciple cannot validate the Fa, then he is not a Dafa disciple." (On "The Dignity of Dafa")

We were created by Master and the Fa and we are elite of the new universe, and therefore, we must melt ourselves in the Fa and completely reject all the arrangements of the old forces.

3. Follow Master closely and keep up with the progressive process of Fa-rectification. Master said,

"It is not that Minghui Net does not make mistakes, however, on important matters, practitioners must pay attention to the attitude of Minghui Net. The purpose of posting my photo and the article 'The Knowing Heart' on Minghui Net was to build a trustworthy website for practitioners."

At the moment, the Fa-rectification has progressed to its final stage and it is still progressing. Some practitioners do not read or read very little of the articles posted on Minghui Net and do not have a sufficient understanding about the requirements of Fa-rectification as a whole, and consequently some Dafa work was not done well at all. Recently, there have been many important articles of inspiration on Minghui Net. Currently while we do well the three things that Master talked about, we should also write articles to expose the persecution, collect evidence of persecution and expose the evil in our local area. Every one of us should have a sense of responsibility. Teacher told us,

"It's not that everyone has to do the same things; every person is doing in his own environment what a Dafa disciple is supposed to do at this time. You're doing it from your heart, and each disciple is safeguarding the Fa and saving sentient beings really just like a particle of Dafa." (Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston)

We must expose the evil and expose their crimes as much as possible. We should pay attention to finding information, understanding information, collecting information and passing information, regardless whether it is directly concerned with us or not. At the same time, we should care about fellow practitioners around us who are not diligent enough and help them catch up. Teacher also said,

"So the specifics of the things you're doing are different but the division of roles is orderly, together there's a form, and separated there are particles." (Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference)

I hope that all Dafa practitioners will take actions and take the Fa as teacher, do well what we should do and follow Master closely in the Fa-rectification process, so as to guarantee the constant improvement of us as one body, to completely eliminate the evil and to save sentient beings.

We are Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples and we should know what our responsibilities are. As Teacher said,

"Dafa disciples should just do things according to the Great Law. You are creating history, you are creating the future, and anything arranged by anyone else doesn't count." (Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference)

We must be worthy of the title of Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples and worthy of the honor Master has bestowed upon us. We must do well what we are supposed to do and be worthy of Master's kind salvation. Lastly, I would like to conclude the sharing with fellow practitioners with Master's poem "In Harmony With the Fa",

"The Buddha light illuminates everywhere;
Propriety and Justice rectify and harmonize everything.
Strive forward together,
A bright future lies ahead."(Hong Yin)
