Dafa Practitioner Mr. Song Youchun Tortured to Death in the Qinglong County Detention Center, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Mr. Song Youchun was 54 years old, and lived in Tumenzi Township, Qinglong County, Qihuangdao City. At 6:00 p.m. on December 15, 2003, Song Youchun died at the Qinglong County Detention Center following 14 days of inhuman treatment. The police ordered his family to remove his body within three days or they would forcibly cremate it.

Because Song Youchun persisted in Dafa practice, he was cruelly tortured at the detention center and was later illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. They first sent him to the Hehuakeng Labor Camp in Tangshan City and later to the Gaoyang Labor Camp in Baoding City to be persecuted. They did not release him until he was on the brink of death.

Police again abducted Mr. Song Youchun before he had fully recovered. On the morning of December 2, 2003, police officer Zhang Shujun, the head of Qinglong County National Security Division; Li Changxing and Liu Changhe from the Politics and Security Section; Liu Yanwen, head of the Tumenzi Township Police Station and police officers Chen Xiaohu and Yu Changguo broke into Song Youchun's home. They abducted his whole family, including his wife, and sent them to Qinglong County Detention Center. They also took away his TV, VCD player and other valuables. Song Youchun's sister, Dafa practitioner Ms. Song Guixian, was abducted at the same time. Several days later, Song Youchun's wife, daughter and sister were released.

After Song Youchun had been tortured to death, Qinglong County Police Department completely blocked the information. Song Youchun's son-in-law and another relative were on their way to Qinhuangdao City government to appeal. They were arrested before they arrived at the government office and were detained at the Qinglong County Detention Center.

Another eight Dafa practitioners were illegally detained at the detention center. One of them, a female Dafa practitioner from Shahe Village, Badaohe Town held a hunger strike and the persecutors are no longer able to insert the force-feeding tube. She is incontinent and her life is in danger, yet the police refused to release her.

Policeman Zhang Shuqing, a team leader of Qinglong County Police Department's National Security Division, also took part in the persecution.
