Shulan City Police Hire Low-Ranking Members of Criminal Underworld Organizations to Torture Dafa Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Xin He, the Deputy Head of the Shulan City
Public Security Bureau; Mr. Xiao Yong, the Head of the Political Security
Section of Shulan City Public Security Bureau; police officer Mr. Wang Tingbo;
and many other corrupt police officers had planned and executed a recent roundup
of Dafa practitioners in Shulan City, Jilin Province. On the evening of November
26, 2003, they broke into the respective homes of four Dafa practitioners, Fu
Hongwei [gender unspecified], Ms. Song Bing, Ms. Song Yanqun, and Zhao
Jiyan [gender unspecified], and abducted them with excessive force. The
authorities fabricated a story to tell witnesses that they were arresting bar
girls illegally working in the nightclubs. Then they dispatched police officers
Mr. Li Zhuo and Mr. Li Jiazhe to hire gang members known as "button
men" [low-ranking members of a criminal underworld organization] and
thugs [men hired to terrorize or eliminate opponents] from Jilin City to
torture Dafa practitioners. The hired gang members and thugs force-fed the four
Dafa practitioners with water containing chili pepper and ground mustard powder
[both can cause chemical burns to the skin], then hung them up with their
hands handcuffed behind their back. While torturing the four Dafa practitioners,
the hired gang members and thugs shouted, "We were paid to make you speak
against Falun Dafa!" In spite of being tortured so viciously, the four Dafa practitioners' were
unwavering in their belief in Falun Dafa. Unable to achieve the result of
forcing practitioners to renounce their belief, the Shulan City Procurator
ordered police officers to continue interrogating the four practitioners using
all necessary means, including torture. Enduring their atrocious torture
techniques, the four practitioners warned police officers with compassionate
hearts, "It is against the law to interrogate us with torture. If we should
compromise with your breach of the law, we would be encouraging additional
crimes!" The practitioners kept looking into the eyes of the corrupt police
officers with righteous thoughts and later started a hunger strike to protest
the persecution against them. At present, the four practitioners are being illegally detained at the
Lanshan Detention Center in Shulan City, Jilin Province. We would like to urge
international human rights organizations and people with conscience around the
world to help these four Dafa practitioners and to put an end to the crimes of
the Shulan City police. We would also like to urge Dafa practitioners around the
world who read this news to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all evil
factors in other dimensions, and to expose the facts of persecution happening in
your local area to the local residents, to help these four Dafa practitioners be
