1. Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Tiezhuang, 55 years old, was an official from Nanyang City's Industrial & Commercial Bureau. In 2001, the authorities from Nanyang City had started to set up brainwashing classes and put him into one. Because he persisted in practicing Falun Dafa, he was later sentenced to three years forced labor at Xuchang City's Forced Labor Camp. During a provincial "help and education" meeting held in the labor camp he spoke loudly, "Falun Dafa is Good." His term was thus extended by eight months.

2. Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Yujing, about 30 years old, was an employee of the No. 2 Machinery Factory in Nanyang City's Oil Field. In October 2000, policemen slapped her in the face, kicked her, verbally abused and physically tortured her during her detention at Nanyang City's No.1 Detention Center, also called the Shangzhuang Detention Center. The policeman who beat her is nicknamed "Branch Luo."

3. Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Qingge, 55 years old, was a technician from Nanyang City's Pulp Sheet Factory. In October 2000, the same policeman nicknamed "Branch Luo" slapped her in the face, kicked her, verbally abused and physically tortured her while she recited some articles Teacher had written in Nanyang City's No.1 Detention Center (the Shangzhuang Detention Center). The enforcers locked her up and kept her handcuffed all day, except at mealtimes.

On December 9, 2003, personnel from Shenyang City's Political & Judiciary Committee's "610 Office," * from the Liaozhong County Political & Judiciary Committee's "610 Office and Ciyutuo Town broke into 45-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Zhenyan's home in Huanglatuo Village. These unconscionable perpetrators forcibly took her to Shenyang City's Zhangshi Brainwashing Class.

*610 Office: an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

At around 2:00 p.m. on December 7, 2003, someone reported Dafa practitioners Ms. Yuan Jing and Ms. Liu Yaqin to police while they were clarifying the truth of Falun Gong at Hulan Town's Central Square. Officers from the "110" response team (China's emergency number) arrived and, against their will, unconstitutionally took them to Hulan County's No.2 Detention Center.

On October 17, 2003, personnel from Jingxing County's "610 Office" and Jingxing County's Police Department, following Jiang Zemin's insane orders, secretly arrested Dafa practitioners Ms. Pan Lizhu and Ms. Zhang Huaiqing. Ms. Pan Lizhu was sent to Pingshan County's Brainwashing Class.

The county's "610 Office" officials forced Zhang Huaiqing's work unit, Jingxing County's Birth Control Committee, to pay 6,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income in urban areas of China] and sent Ms. Zhang Huaiqing to Hebei Province's Capital Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Pan Lizhu had been going to Beijing since April 25, 1999, to say some just words for Dafa. She had been detained at Jingjing County's Weishui Town Detention Center, at the police station and police department. In May 2001, policemen from Weishui Town's Police Department duped her to go to a brainwashing class in Biao Village's Militia Training Center. She persisted in practicing Dafa and has always clarified the truth to practitioners who had been brainwashed. She finally escaped from the vicious brainwashing class with the power of her righteous thoughts.

Ms. Zhang Huaiqing is a nice mother at home and a hard-working employee at work. Family members and colleagues all praised her. After she was secretly arrested, her 8-year-old daughter was left at home without care.

Since the weather is very cold now, her family members requested to send her some warm clothes, but the policemen lied, saying that she was not in Jingjing County.

On December 9, 2003, police arrested practitioner Ms. Wenjing, from Guandaoli Township/Jizhou City/Hebei Province while she was dispatching Dafa truth clarifying materials. She is being detained at Jizhou City's Detention Center.

In 1999, enforcers of Jiang Zemin's orders against Falun Gong, sentenced practitioner Ms. Su Jinling from Zhengzhou City/Henan Province to two years' forced labor. Because of her high blood pressure, the forced labor camp refused to accept her and so she was released. At one time a year later she went to a practitioner's home, but the practitioner was arrested so she was arrested, too.

The police from Zhengzhou City went to the provincial Police Department and had someone find Zhou Xiaohong, the deputy warden of the Shibalihe Labor Camp. Eventually they sent Su to the labor camp and imprisoned her for two years, to fulfill the last sentence issued in 1999.

On December 11, 2003, five policemen forcibly arrested practitioner Ms. Fu Xiaohong, who is living Tongnan County's Education Committee residential area in Chongqing City. The police grabbed Fu's hair and covered her mouth before they forced her into a black car.

1. On November 24, 2003, officers from the Hanyang Police Precinct and Hanyang Inspection Department arrested practitioner Liu Qingshui from the Qiaokou District of Wuhan City, Hubei Province and took her to the Hanyang Detention Center. They issued an arrest warrant on the same day and charged him/her [gender unclear] within a week. Liu's case has been sent to the court. His/her name has been placed on the "awaiting trial" list of the Hanyang Inspection Department.

2. On December 10, 2003, police arrested practitioner Hu Yingzi and three other practitioners from the Wuchang District, of Wuhan City when they were distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials at Tieqiao Village in Hanyang City.

On December 8 2003, police arrested practitioners Ms. Yu Rongzhen and Ms. Sun Fengqin from Sangyuan Town in Wuqiao County, Hebei Province. Now these two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wen Bin is a retired primary school teacher and lives at the Liyuchi Resident Area in the Jiangbei District, Chongqing City. On December 5, 2003, policemen from the Jiangbei District arrested her and ransacked her home.

Another Chongqing City practitioner had been arrested before, but the name and details are under investigation.

[Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Illegal Arrest of Dafa Practitioner Mr. Gu Honghao

Thirty-three year-old Dafa practitioner Mr. Gu Honghao from Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, holds a bachelors degree. At 7:30 pm on December 7, 2003, officer Li Yong, chief of the No.1 Police Team for the Guancheng District Police Department, led three policemen, broke into Gu Honghao's home and took him away. They also searched his house, confiscated two notebook computers, one printer, some truth-clarifying videodiscs, a pager and a cell phone. The policemen unintentionally let it be known that this time they had illegally arrested many Dafa practitioners in the Guancheng District.

When Ms. Yin Wencai from Sanya City, Hainan Province, distributed truth-clarifying materials in August 2003, police arrested her and sentenced her to two years' forced labor. Because her health status did not qualify her to remain there, she was released one month later. As the World Beauty Contest will be held in Sanya City, she and her families' activities and movements have been monitored and controlled. Security guards tailed this 70-year-old woman, even when she went to school to fetch her granddaughter. Every day, enforcers from the Political and Judiciary Committee, the police precinct and the residential committee ordered Yin Wencai and her daughter Yin Xin to appear at their offices and do not let them return till 10:00 p.m.

Dafa practitioner Zhang Yuxia is a retired employee for a cleaning team in the Hongshan District in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia AR (Autonomous Region). She has been sentenced to three years' forced labored for practicing Falun Gong. After she was released from the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp at the end of September 2003, the Yongju Administration Office, superiors of the Street Administration Office, lackeys of the "610 Office," [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] frequently went to Zhang Yuxia's home to harass her. Thus Zhang had no choice but to leave and live with relatives. On December 4, 2003, personnel from the "610 Office" illegally arrested Zhang from her relative's home.

There are several Dafa practitioners in Fuxin City's Health and Epidemic Prevention Station, all of them are kind and righteous people. They treat others sincerely and compassionately, do their jobs diligently and never haggle over personal interests.

Since Jiang's regime began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, certain people from the police departments and from different levels of government often went to harrass the practitioners, subjected them to psychological pressure, and attempted to force them to give up their belief in Falun Dafa principle Truth-Compassion-Tolerance.

One such woman Dafa practitioner, about 40 years old, is an associate professor and doctor. Her professional level is recoginized to be excellent and she has certain effects on social events. Toward the end of 2003, lawless policemen abducted her and illegally searched her house. Later she was sent to the city's detention center and detained there for nearly one month. After her release she went to work as usual. Her unit leaders, though, thought that she had a bad effect on their "achievement," thus they created obstacles to prevent her from being hired the next year. They tailored a special "internal retirement policy" for her. She thus she was forced to retire, even though she was not prepared to. This event created a bad atmosphere among local people. They were dissatisfied with what the unit had done and could not understand, asking themselves, "what is wrong with society and why is such a good person being mistreated?"

Dafa practitioner Mr. Cui Guilin, about 30 years old, is from Ku'erle City/Xinjiang's Autonomous Region. He has been detained since he was illegally arrested in August 2003. Three years ago, Cui has been illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor, merely because he appealed for Falun Gong. He was released in November 2002. Because he refused to attend a brainwashing session held by "610 Office" he was arrested again. It was heard that his "case" has been reported to superiors and he is still under illegal detention.

Ms. Zhao Xiaoli, 34 years old, is from Xinxiang City, Henan Province. During the night on December 7, 2003, when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials, someone reported her and now she is been unconstitutionally detained at Xinxiang County's Detention Center.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Cuizhen works in the No.3 Institute of the Astronautics Ministry at the Yungang Area in Beijing. About two weeks ago, lawless policemen from Beijing arrested her at her hometown in Anhui Province. Now she is being detained at the brainwashing class in the No.3 Institute of Astronautics Ministry.

In order to avid persecution, Wang Cuizhen had to lead a homeless life for about three years. Yet, the authorities have never stopped persecuting her. They exerted pressure, level by level, from the astronautics ministry to the institute, to the factory, street and police precinct. The Fengtai District Police Precinct also exerted pressure down to lower levels. Her family have been threatened these three years, traced, and their phone calls were monitored. Even her friends and colleagues were investigated or were unlawfully arrested. The police officials in Beijing have sent officers to her hometown and attemped many times to arrest her.
