Taiwan Practitioners Invited to Participate in Children's Human Rights Promotion Activity (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The first children's human rights promotion activity was held on the evening of December 20, 2003 at Douliu Taiping Old Street in Yunlin

County. The sponsor invited Falun Gong practitioners in central Taiwan to give performances, including dance and exercise demonstration. The practitioners hoped to raise people's awareness of the serious problem in the Mainland that young Falun Gong practitioners are deprived of their physical security, right to receive education and freedom of belief.

Young Falun Gong practitioners' performances

The theme of the activity is "2003 Children's Human Rights Congress - Love Our Children, Promote Children's Human Rights." The supervisor of Taiping Ave. Development Association Mr. Zhuang Zhaoren expressed that it has been four and a half years since Jiang Zemin manipulated the Party, the government and the army to persecute Falun Gong practitioners and deprived people of freedom to practice the exercises and read Falun Gong-related books. Also because many people still don't know clearly about Falun Gong, they wanted to expose the facts of Jiang regime's persecution of children's human rights through this activity.

Students who practice Falun Gong in Mainland China are deprived of the right to receive education. All children of Falun Gong practitioners face being expelled from school. A primary school student in the Mainland once sent a short message by fax through a friend to a young friend in Taiwan. The message said that he admired young practitioners in Taiwan who can practice Falun Gong and go to school. He missed his parents very much and wanted to return to school to attend classes.

Falun Gong practitioners offered 40 minutes of performances, including dancing, ballet and demonstration of five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Young practitioners who performed the exercises were from 5 years old to 12 years old. Their concentration and peaceful exercise music attracted the hostess and the audience members who were following the children to do the exercises.

Meanwhile, practitioners prepared Falun Dafa flyers, bookmarks and films depicting people from all professions who practice Falun Gong. People could get them free of charge.
