Yang has now been on a hunger strike for over ten days. He has now been placed in solitary confinement and is been subjected to regular rounds of force feeding by the authorities.

Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Dong Caiyong, is an undergraduate who worked at the Longxin Company in Anda City, Heilongjiang Province. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment for sending emails that clarify the truth about Dafa in an internet cafe. He has appealed against these unlawful actions. Unfortunately, his father grew so worried about Dong that he started to feel pains in his heart. Later on his father was diagnosed with cancer. He couldn't bear the pain that was brought about by these two incidents and ended his life by jumping of a building.

In Huludao City of Liaoning Province, Dafa practitioner Zhang Guoshun was cruelly treated in the local Reeducation Center. After holding a seven-day hunger strike he was transferred to a hospital for emergency treatment.

Recently, overseas practitioners made a massive effort to clarify the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa to the military troops in Beijing. This massive effort to explain the true facts and expose the crimes committed against Dafa greatly frightened Jiang Zemin and his cohorts, as his regime relies upon the troops as his personal tools to carry out his directives. Once the troops realize the truth about the persecution of Dafa and decide to no longer follow Jiang's dictatorship, Jiang will be extremely frightened and not know what to do. As the Jiang feared the truth of the persecution had been revealed to the military personnel, the military phone lines were ordered to be disconnected from the public lines. However, this extreme act ceased all communication between hundreds of thousands of military personnel and their contacts. After several days of taking such an extreme measure they re-connected the phone lines. For practitioners who are able to do so, please continue making phone calls to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to military personnel that have been deceived by Jiang's lies.

Fang Jinghua, is a 48 year old female employee of the Benxi Automobile Company. Before she began practicing Falun Gong she would frequently fight with her husband. Ever since she started practicing Falun Gong, she became very healthy and the relationship with her husband also greatly improved. This is why she wanted to wholeheartedly tell the Chinese government that Falun Dafa is great.

After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, she prepared herself to go and peacefully appeal in Beijing. When she passed by the city hall, she saw some Falun Gong practitioners holding a group practice. She immediately joined their practice and was arrested without reason. After fifteen days of detention, she went on a hunger strike for nine days and was then released. Later on she once again started her trip to Beijing to appeal; she was then caught by policemen and sent back to the Caibei Detention Center. There she was sentenced to one and a half years imprisonment. Later on half a year was added to her term because she was very persistent in her practice of Dafa. After two years, due to her righteous thoughts she left the detention center. She constantly practices the Falun Dafa exercises as usual and also reveals the truth about Falun Dafa. She lost her job and had no choice but to leave home to avoid further persecution. On September 29, 2003 she went out to clarify the truth of the persecution of Falun Dafa to the local people with a fellow female practitioner named Wu Qiang. They were then both arrested. No one knew where they were until November 8. She had been detained in the Caibei Detention Center and was then later transferred to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp with a sentence of 3 years' imprisonment. Wu Qiang was sentenced to five years imprisonment and was transferred to Dalian. Nobody knows her exact location at this time.

During July and August of 2003, some Dafa practitioners in Jianli County of Hubei Province were arrested and transferred to a brainwashing Center in the cities of Wuhan and Jingzhou. Some officials held a brainwashing session during the end of September and the beginning of October. They are now secretly planning to run long-term brainwashing sessions and set up the center at the dormitory at the Jianli County Party School. They planned to work closely with the Sayang Forced Labor Camp in Hubei Province and use collaborators [former Dafa practitioners who gave up their practice of Falun Gong due to mental and physical pressure] to brainwash recently arrested practitioners and force them to renounce their belief.

Starting from December 8, 2003, the Hengyang "610 Office" in Hunan Province started secretly monitoring and following all local Dafa practitioners.

Practitioner Li Meiying, working in Furong district in Changsha city, was unlawfully arrested and taken to the brainwashing center at Lucky Hills.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Qingrong, 54 years old, of Beipiao city was secretly arrested by personnel from the "610 Office" and policemen from the Qiaobei police station on November 24^th, 2003. She was transferred directly to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang city.

On May 9, 2003, at around 7:30 pm police officers named Wang Zhiqiang and Chen Yang from Taiping Police Station of Fuxin city broke into Dafa practitioner Zhang Ruogui's home in Chengnan district. Once they had broken in they forcibly took Zhang away. They hadn't gone far when they returned to also take his wife. Once they were in the squad car they interrogated them about who else practiced Falun Dafa. Zhang refused to answer and so police officer Wang Zhiqiang started beating him. Zhang's wife asked him why he was beating Zhang. He then replied "I'm going to beat you too!" He then proceeded to beat Zhang again. When they arrived at the police station, Wang Zhiqiang led several other policemen to beat and scold Zhang in order to make him reveal the names of other Dafa practitioners. No matter how cruelly he was beaten, Zhang never revealed any practitioners names. The policemen then sent the couple to a detention center without reason. (There were five Dafa practitioners in the same car) Zhang has a child who is younger than twelve years of age and was crying for his/her parents. Zhang's relatives didn't have any choice but to hand over 3,000 yuan [500 yuan is equal to the average monthly salary of an urban worker in China.] to the police in order to release Zhang's wife. One month after her release, she lost contact with Zhang. She went to the Taiping Police Station and they told her that Zhang had been transferred to a forced labor camp. She then went to Fuxin Forced Labor Camp where she was told that Zhang had been sent to the Huludao City Forced Labor Camp.

Wang Haiqing was an employee at the Gaode Miner in Fuxin city, Liaoning province. He and his wife were unlawfully arrested and sent to a detention center on August 17, 2000. His wife was released after she had paid 2,000 yuan while Wang Haiqing was sentenced to one year imprisonment. Whilst still holding firm to his belief in the practice of Dafa Wang was able to leave Huludao Forced Labor Camp. On November 6, 2003, he was again arrested and sentenced to one year imprisonment just because of his persistence in practicing Dafa. He is been kept at the Huludao Forced Labor Camp, where he is suffering from abuse with electric batons, forced sitting on the "Tiger bench," brainwashing and other methods of torture.

In the beginning of 2001, Mr. Li Chenyi, a Dafa practitioner from Jixi City, Helongjiang Province, was unlawfully arrested by police officers of Jixi city. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment and is now still in jail.

On October 13, 2003, at around 10 o'clock, over one hundred Dafa practitioners gathered at a tea garden to share their experiences from practicing Falun Dafa. They were later surrounded by policemen from four neighboring police stations (Guangxing, Nanxing, Xiangyang, and Mengyang town of Pengzhou City). Most practitioners were able to evade the mass arrest, but six were captured. One of them escaped with righteous thoughts, but three of them were detained for fifteen days. Mr. Lou Shizhao, 50 years old, a practitioner from Guangxing, was sentenced to two years' detention at a forced labor camp. A seventy-year old Dafa practitioner from Nanxing Mr. Liu is missing. A secret agent directed this raid against the practitioners.

On November 19, 2003, the political workers in the local city high school of Guanghan City suddenly notified all Falun Dafa practitioners to attend a meeting at the Political Education Department on the next morning at 9:00 am. Practitioners reached a mutual understanding to deny the arrangement made by the "old forces." They decided not to co-operate no matter what happened. Some practitioners went to the Political Education Department to clarify the truth about Dafa and reveal the facts about the persecution. Others made phone calls to the principal so as to inform him that Dafa practitioners would not attend the meeting. The next day not a single practitioner came to the meeting. The person who is responsible for the school complained by saying: "We have been so busy teaching, who has time for such a ridiculous meeting! Those organizing the meeting called the Education Bureau and said "Nobody came to the meeting, it's cancelled."

According to reliable information, a female Dafa practitioner's legs were beaten until they were broken in Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. We are yet to find out who is responsible for this. This above mentioned practitioner has not co-operated with the demands of those malicious policemen. She never told them her name.

Right now Dafa practitioners Zhang Baokun, a Mr. Zhao and an unknown male have been unlawfully detained and will soon be illegally sentenced in the Buoto Detention Center.

National Security members Huang Chunzhu and Zhao Dongkai of Buoto City have been treating Dafa practitioners cruelly ever since this nationwide persecution began. Practitioners clarified the truth to them many times, yet they have become even worse!

We have received information regarding a newly distributed document. The gist of it is to not arrest practitioners distributing truth materials at the scene, but instead, follow practitioners to locate the source of the materials. Lately, we have observed that some practitioners are under surveillance.

Practitioner Yang Chuanjun has been unlawfully imprisoned in Liujiaqiao Jail in Dalian city, Liaoning province. Because of his hunger strike against such unfair treatment, he is now in solitary confinement and is been persecuted even more severely. They even leave the pipe used for force-feeding in his esophagus.

Ma Lucheng is a citizen of Sulan Village in Encun Town, Shanyang District, Jiaozuo city, Henan province. In the evening of November 28, 2003, He was abducted by several people who were led by Li Xiaoxin, the Secretary of Politics and Law Committee of Encun Town, to the brainwashing center held by the "610 Office." [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] They assigned a villager to watch him 24 hours a day. Ma Lucheng has begun a hunger strike since that night to resist any further persecution.
