A Female Dafa Practitioner in Fuyang City, Anhui Province, Was Carried into the Courtroom on a Stretcher to be Illegally Tried

On December 29, 2002, fourteen Falun Dafa practitioners were illegally arrested by authorities from the Fuyang City "610 Office," Fuyang County Security Department and Fuyang Police Department. On December 3, 2003, almost one year into their detention, authorities from the "610 Office" ordered the Yingzhou District Prosecutor and Court in Fuyang City to unlawfully indict practitioners on the charge of "establishing a Falun Dafa materials site, and making Falun Dafa materials." The practitioners involved included Mr. Gao Yong, Mr. Li Ce, Mr. Wu Hongwei, Mr. Zheng Bao, Ms. Ouyang Shasha, Mr. Cheng Yunfeng, Ms. Wang Yuling, Ms. Fan Wenfang, Ms. Li Li, and Mr. Li Jun.

During their detention, practitioner Ms. Fan Wenfang, a gynecologist, has been on a hunger strike for 6 months to protest the persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners. Ordered by Qi Chenggang, the head of the city's "610 Office," the policemen force-fed and tortured Ms. Wenfang many times, without restraint. As a result of their brutal efforts, three of her teeth were loosened and her throat and nose were damaged by the tube. Once a healthy women, Ms. Wenfang was reduced an emaciated state after being tortured in this way. Even when she was on the verge of death, she was still carried into the courtroom on a stretcher by two policemen.

During their one year period of detention, Falun Dafa practitioners have suffered both mental and physical persecution by being chained, forced to undergo brainwashing, and perform long hours of heavy labor.
