"My Next-Door Neighbor Is a Falun Gong Practitioner"

(Clearwisdom.net) It was in December 2001 in a northeastern city in China, the road was icy and slippery. A taxi drove by in front of the Chinese Traditional Medicine Hospital and suddenly ran into a middle-aged woman. Out of control, the car struck the woman's lower abdomen and knocked her to the ground. The accident immediately caught the attention of many passers-by. The car couldn't stop for another 7-8 meters. The driver was very scared, rushed to help the woman stand up and apologized to her again and again. Not knowing what to do, he drove her to a nearby hospital.

Seeing that the driver was frightened, the woman immediately calmed him, "Don't be afraid. I will not sue you." Upon hearing about the big trouble the driver was in, the car owner also came immediately to apologize to the woman. He wanted to give her some money to close the issue privately. Yet the woman said, "I will not take your money. It's all right as long as I can recover." The car owner's wife was deeply moved and asked, "You are so kind. Are you a religious person?" The woman shook her head and answered, "I am not. However, my next-door neighbor is a Falun Gong practitioner. She has been telling me about Falun Gong and I benefited from it. Jiang has always been defaming them, but I know that the Falun Gong practitioners are all very nice people. Had I not believed in them or believed that Falun Gong is good, I would not have dealt with this issue in this way." When the results of her physical examine came out, people found it miraculous--she was hit that hard, yet only the soft tissue around her waist was hurt a little.

The story behind this is that the woman's neighbor is part of a household of three people and they all practice Falun Gong. The two families share the front door and a small doorway less than two square meters in size. The two families visit each other frequently and have no reservations when talking to each other. Sometimes, when her neighbor was listening to Master Li's lectures, she joined for a while as well and told her neighbor, "What a great lecture your Master was giving!" Then her neighbor told her that if she follows Master Li's words, Master Li would help her. So she did. She does not compete with others for personal interests in her work unit. Sometimes she told the others that Falun Gong practitioners are good people. Sometimes, she picked up the discarded Falun Gong truth-telling flyers and CDs and gave them back to the practitioners. Seeing the practitioners making the banner, she would voluntarily safeguard them by watching out at the door, and offer help to organize and staple the materials. The Dafa practitioners were deeply moved by her action.

Once on her way to work, she fell down and hit her knee so badly that the bones were fractured. She felt a lot of pain at that time. Then she remembered Master Li's words and paid little attention to it. She went on to work without taking one day off. She recovered soon.

Another time, her nose was bleeding. It was quite severe and she felt awful and dizzy. She went to see a doctor. It was diagnosed as cerebral hemorrhage. Her neighbor told her caringly, "It's also possible that Master Li is taking care of you. How could blood come out from the nose if it is cerebral hemorrhage? Isn't it miraculous?" She was very grateful to Master Li after hearing this. Because she has good enlightenment quality, she fully recovered without any recurrence.

One time, the police came to harass the practitioner next door and she refused to open the door. When police came to search her neighbor's home, she transferred thousands of truth-telling materials into her own place.

Again the police came, this time to illegally arrest the Dafa practitioner who called out at the top of her voice, "Falun Dafa is great!" while being dragged away. She said to the evil person, "They benefited from Falun Gong, otherwise they would not be so determined. Please let them go." The police chief asked her, "Do you practice Falun Gong?" She answered, "You don't have my name on your blacklist as to whether I practice Falun Gong or not." She even came to visit the detained Dafa practitioner and encourage her. Soon, many neighbors of this Dafa practitioner voluntarily went to talk to several departments and offices to rescue her. This practitioner sang the song "Falun Dafa is great" when she faced the evil, spreading the Fa and telling the truth with wisdom. With righteous belief in Dafa, she denied the policemen's attempt to send her to the labor camp and came back home in a noble and dignified manner.
