Walking 100 Miles to Save Predestined People

In June 2002, the factory gave its employees another vacation. Ms. Hui packed her truth-clarifying materials and set out on her journey of truth-clarification.

First, Ms. Hui went to the registration room of a local hospital and clarified the truth to the guards, an elderly couple whom she knew. The wife of the guard was perplexed by why Falun Gong practitioners were still persistent in their practice after they had been persecuted so brutally. Ms. Hui talked with her about all her experiences, from the torture she had suffered to the current situation of the persecution of Falun Gong, including the number of people who had died because of the persecution, what typical death cases are like, and why practitioners want to clarify the truth and are persistent in their practice. The couple listened to her the whole time with tears in their eyes and said, "They have killed so many people. Heaven's law will not spare them!" They kindly reminded Ms. Hui to be careful and told her that she could stay at their house if she could find a place to live.

Hui went to another village and delivered the truth-clarifying materials door to door. After she finished a few streets, she noticed that someone was following her so she left the village. On her way, she met a shepherd. Hui felt that every person she met must be predestined, and she could not let the opportunity go. She gave him a truth-clarifying flyer. The shepherd respectfully took the flyer and started to read it carefully.

It became dark out, and Hui slept in a grove. Hui woke up in the cold, early morning in the twilight. She got up to do the exercises and to study the Fa. A gentleman in his 60s asked her what book she was reading. Hui said, "I am reading Zhuan Falun."

The shepherd asked, "Are you a Falun Gong practitioner? How come you still have the courage to practice! Several practitioners here have already been arrested!"

Hui said, "People practice Falun Gong because it is good. If it wasn't good, who would still want to practice with a persecution so brutal? The government violated the constitution by prohibiting people from practicing Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners are all good people." Hui told him her experiences of appealing and being tortured and told him that she had been forced to leave home for a long time. Nobody in her family knew where she was. Her home had been under surveillance for a long time. There was no way she could get in touch with her family. The old man listened with tears pouring out of his eyes and said righteously, "Jiang Zemin is so ruthless!" The old man told Hui that he learned some exercises before July 20, 1999. Before he got a chance to read Dafa books, the persecution started. He knew deep in his heart that Falun Dafa is good but he never got a chance to read the book. The old man asked Hui for the book, and she promised to send him a copy of Zhuan Falun. The old man went home to get her warm water and brought her a thick stack of truth-clarifying materials. He said, "We have received many truth-clarifying flyers, I have collected them carefully!" Hui gave him a copy of her flyer. The old man gratefully took it. Hui then left to clarify the truth in other remote areas.

It became dark again. Hui found a vegetable storage shed to sleep in. She awoke to the cold wind of a thunderstorm. Before Hui left the shelter in the early morning, she wrote a letter to the owner of the shed. The letter talked about what she was doing, why she slept overnight in the shed, the persecution she had suffered, and the facts about the persecution of Falun Dafa. She asked them not to believe the lies that defamed Dafa on TV and asked them to remember, "Falun Dafa is good." After she finished the letter, she hung it in the most conspicuous place in the shed.

Hui saw many farmers working in the field together. She went over to talk to them and gave them truth-clarifying materials. They all respectfully accepted the flyers and immediately stopped working to read the flyers. On her way, Hui met many farmers. Hui went over to each of them and clarified the truth face to face. She gave them a copy of truth-clarifying materials when she left. They were very pleased to receive them.

Hui came across a small restaurant. She ate some food and gave a flyer to the hostess, but she did not want it. Hui offered the flyer to another person who was there, but the hostess stopped him from taking it, saying, "You can't read it either." Hui tried to clarify the truth to her but was refused. Hui felt sad. This was the only person who refused to learn the truth on her entire journey.

In the afternoon, Hui came to a construction site. She met a gentleman in his 60s and asked for a cup of water from him. The old man rode his bicycle under the hot sun to get her some water. Hui was moved and started to clarify the truth to him. However, this old man was so deceived by the propaganda that he had torn down Falun Gong posters wherever he saw them. Hui's heart was pained for him and carefully went over the Tiananmen Square Self-immolation and the slanderous lies on TV together with him and told him that Falun Dafa's principles can restore the morality of society. The old man still didn't believe her. Hui told him about the persecution she had suffered. After listening to her, the old man said, "I will not tear down the posters you put up." Hui said, "Is there any difference between me and other practitioners? Up against the pressure from society and their families, practitioners have spent their own hard-earned money to make truth-clarifying materials and risked their lives to post and deliver them just to let the poisoned sentient beings get to know the truth. This is saving people!" Hui talked with the old man for nearly the whole afternoon. Finally, the old man understood and said he would no longer tear down any Dafa posters and reminded Hui to be careful. He left his phone number with her. He told her to call him if she met with any trouble, and he would immediately come to help her.

Hui reached a small town. The boss and employees of a small grocery store waved at her. It appeared that they had been waiting for her for a long time. Hui understood that it was their knowing-side asking for her to save them. Then, Hui came to clarify the truth to them. The owner of the store said she knows that Falun Dafa is good. She also asked Hui to teach her the exercises.

Hui found a hotel. An employee asked for her identification card. For security reasons, Hui did not bring the identification card with her. She went to another small hotel. The hotel owner greeted her warmly. Hui clarified the truth to the owner. The whole family listened to her carefully. After the couple learned the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong, they kindly invited her to work in their hotel. Hui thanked them and told them she already had a job. Hui went to several other places and ended in a small town. She had walked 100 miles.
