A Japanese High School Student says, "I will spread Falun Dafa at my school."

During the time from August to November, I was teaching English in Japan through a language school. I taught at various locations from community centers, to schools, to homes to shrines. The third lesson at one location was always a young male high school student who was taking private conversation lessons. From our conversations it was obvious that he was a leader in his high school class and closely involved with many different activities. However, I noticed during the four months of our acquaintance that I usually experienced strong thought karma and interference while we were talking during lessons. My mind was typically focused on the lesson at hand, but in his case it often wandered toward unrighteous thoughts and was sometimes interfered with.

I made sure to send righteous thoughts to rectify the environment wherever I was. One night after lessons I sat at the base of the main worshipping area and sent righteous thoughts. Bugs flew at my head almost violently as the evil there tried to stop me. I always displayed the righteous behavior of a Dafa disciple, and when my students were late for lessons I would read Zhuan Falun facing the open doorway so all passerby could see the book.

On my last day of teaching, the very last lesson was this young high school student. The structure of the class allowed us to freely discuss anything, as long as it was in English. After we talked about several different subjects, I handed him a flyer written in Japanese about Falun Dafa and told him that it is the meditation practice I have studied for almost three years, and it has greatly benefited me. It seemed that he would not stop reading the flyer, even though I thought he might ask some questions. Instead he kept reading and reading and reading without saying a word. At last he picked up the flyer and looked at me, so I asked if he wanted to learn the exercises. There in the shrine we did all five sets of exercises, and he was even able to sit in full lotus. At the end, I told him again how good Falun Dafa is. He smiled and answered, "I will spread Falun Dafa in my school."

From this experience I realized that every seemingly small step we take is establishing the future for sentient beings. Perhaps because I meticulously and persistently rectified the environment in the shrine, it made it possible for this young man to hear the truth about Falun Dafa. I also realized that we should make constant progress and never relax the standard for ourselves, but do things strictly according to the Fa. Master has guided us to save sentient beings; we should walk our paths well with open and righteous dignity.
