Bearing Witness To History: Righteous Voices Calling at the Turn of the Century

(Clearwisdom.net) On the last day of the year 2000, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners were going to Beijing to validate Dafa, but they were detained by the police in the Tianjin train station.

That day was the doorway to the new century. At midnight, the clamor of firecrackers resounded outside. Realizing that this was a great opportunity to validate Dafa, the detained practitioners unfurled their banners and together called out with their full hearts and souls, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is righteous! Restore Teacher's reputation! Restore Dafa's reputation!" Their voices were loud enough to reach the sky. There were various colorful banners. A senior practitioner displayed a long banner several meters long. With the overwhelming voices and the sounds of the firecrackers, beautiful, colorful flashes lighting up the big glass window in the waiting room, it was as if both Heaven and Earth were celebrating this grand moment of practitioners' compassion and fearlessness.

After a minute or so, the calling and the firecrackers and their sounds all stopped. At that moment all was quiet and time seemed to freeze completely. The people present in the waiting room were still immersed in that magnificent moment while the echo of "Falun Dafa is good..." resounded and lingered in their ears. The police were too shocked to do anything but quietly watch and listen to the righteous voices. All were awed by the greatness of the scene.
