Non-Practitioners Support Falun Dafa

A friend who is a university professor, whom I had not seen for many years, came to my city for some business. She had heard what had happened to my relatives who practice Falun Dafa -- a couple who were forcibly arrested from their home leaving their elderly parents with no one to care for them, and who also had all their valuable property and cash stolen by the authorities. She was very upset by this and said, "I have read Zhuan Falun [the principal book of Falun Dafa]. It merely teaches people to have a heart of compassion. You are all good people. In my city, they also arrested people who practice Falun Gong. I said to the persons who were responsible for the arrests, that they should not be so excessive, that Falun Dafa practitioners are just good people acquiring good health through practicing. If you continue like this, you will lose the support of the citizens." She also said, " I see that even before Jiang pays for the debts he incurred while suppressing the student movement, he now also owes a bloody debt brought about by the persecution of these kind people. I see clearly what is going on. I support you. I will practice Falun Gong when I gain the predestined relationship in the future." She also told me to remain steadfast. Finally, she said to me, "I am glad for your righteous mind, and I believe that good and evil will meet their due return in the end."

Falun Dafa practitioners are usually subjected to unjust, unfair trials and are sentenced to heavy prison terms. The relatives of a Dafa practitioner who was scheduled to appear in court found a lawyer to defend him.

The upright lawyer told the relatives that it was no use to ask for help from a lawyer. With the persistent requests of the relatives, however, the lawyer accepted the case.

After a great deal of investigation the lawyer gained a deep understanding of Falun Dafa, and was very moved by the great compassion and great tolerance of this Dafa practitioner.

He was indignant at the inhumane persecution that the practitioner had suffered. He helped the practitioner's relatives work on ideas for the defense and he also spoke up on behalf of the practitioner. On the day of the court proceedings, the lawyer said that he refused to go to court. If he were to attend, it was likely that he would play into the hands of Jiang. The Jiang regime might say, "See, we allow Falun Gong practitioners to request a lawyer" -- which could not be farther from the truth.
