My Cultivation Story

I first came across Falun Dafa through a friend who was studying in a university. He told me that after two years of learning Dafa, his university friends had not even caught the flu. To a person who frequently fell sick like myself, this was quite irresistible. I then looked up and found a practice site in a nearby park and started practicing. The first time I came to the practice site I experienced a most relaxing sensation that I had never felt before. I did not know that Dafa exercises were also governed by law principles and because my intention then was only to learn some exercise to keep fit, I visited the site only on and off. I had never once completed the whole exercise set in one go, mainly due to my laziness.

Later, under the guidance of a few veteran practitioners, I started to study the Fa, and from that point on I diligently progressed. Since then, all my ailments such as stomach ailments, migraines, etc. all vanished without taking more medicine. Before my recovery, my cardiac problems had been torturing me. At night I could not lie down properly to sleep but had to lean against the bedstead. As my blood circulation was poor, I had to frequently visit the hospital to boost up my oxygen intake. Although I had cardiac surgery before, it did not help much. Instead, it gave me more agony. After practicing Falun Dafa, my whole body felt renewed again. All my colleagues were amazed to see the changes in me, and many of them also took up practicing Dafa as well.

After July 20, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Gong began, I told my colleagues, "Do I look like those people that the propaganda depicts on National TV?" My colleagues answered "No." I then said, "Those people who speak on TV against Dafa are lying to the public. You have to trust the facts." On the issue of not taking medicine, one of my colleagues asked, "Do you still take medicine?" I replied, "If I am not sick, why do I need medication?" He nodded in agreement.

My mother was a very kind hearted person. When she saw my miraculous recovery from illnesses, she too started practicing Falun Gong. Not long after she started, the condition of her body improved, her celestial eye opened and she saw Teacher's Fashen as well. My son was also a spiritually gifted person. Even before I took up Falun Gong, his celestial eye had already opened. He could tell what the orientation was of the bones in a person's fractured limb or the sex of a baby in a pregnant mother. After I seriously started to practice Falun Gong, he could see lots of colorful Faluns around me. Once, while watching me meditating, he noticed some black substance draining away from my body and later saw a beam of light from far away, violet in color, entering my body. He said that our house was filled with innumerable little Faluns, rotating and hovering around. He also saw Teacher's Fashen as well.

My husband was also a very kind hearted man. Seeing me meditating, he imitated me. As he could not do the gestures properly, he only sat with his legs crossed and hands conjoined (jie yin). While he was sitting, he could also see colorful Faluns rotating around. I told him that he had a good predestined relationship and he learned all the movements from me. One early morning, I asked him to come along with me to our practice site. He said that he felt like sleeping a bit longer. When I returned home to make breakfast for the children, I found him sitting there, meditating. He told me that as soon as I left, he saw a big Falun rotating above his head. So he got up and sat down to meditate.

Sometimes, when I entered into a semi-meditative mode, I could see magnificent scenes around. Once while I was practicing the first set of exercise, "The Golden Monkey Splits Its Body," I suddenly felt that my whole body was splitting up into many bodies. This incident made me better understand the meaning of "The Buddha Fa is boundless."

Although my cultivation path had been long and winding, my heart is firm. After clarifying the truth to our work unit head, I reclaimed back all the slanderous documents against Dafa I had once signed my name on, including the statement of denouncement of practicing. While burning all those documents, I was bitterly crying. I was so ashamed of what I had done. Finally, I published a statement to announce that all of my previous deeds against Dafa were void. I now strictly follow the three things Teacher wants us to do: study the Fa, clarify the truth, and send forth righteous thoughts. Although, I am still far from meeting the requirements, I will however, follow the requirements of Teacher and Dafa, and strengthen my righteous thoughts to help save all sentient beings.
