Police Traffic in Drugs and Torture Dafa Practitioners in Shanshui Forced Labor Camp, Guandong Province
By a Dafa practitioner in China
(Clearwisdom.net)
The police in the Sanshui Labor Camp of Guangdong Province have tortured
practitioner Chen Baoca using many brutal methods. Chen was a resident of
Tiaojiu, in the Town of Minan, Donghai Island, Zhanjiang City. The police forced
him to squat down in front of them for a long time, even when his head was
covered with large drops of perspiration. They often viciously beat his head.
When Chen asked to use the restroom, three policemen refused his request. They
taunted him, "Aren't you guys who practice Falun Gong supposed to be tolerant?"
On winter days when the weather was very cold, they forced practitioners to
stand in icy winds. During very hot weather, with temperatures as high as
38~39oC [100~102oF], they ordered practitioners to keep running all day, not
allowing them to use the restroom or drink water.
I was sent to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in 2001. Within a few days after I
was taken there, I found that drug addicts in the camp were buying and selling
drugs. When meeting with visitors, the addicts are separated from the visitors
by a glass plate. They talk to each other via telephone, under strict control.
How could they obtain those drugs? Some practitioners reported the drug pushers
to the police, but the police prohibited the practitioners from speaking out.
Why? The police were involved.
Practitioner Liang Shoulin wrote in his diary about the policemen's various
illegal behaviors, such as beating people, selling drugs and bribing on duty
policemen with thousands of Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an
average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan]. As a result, he was
prohibited from writing.
Many relatives of those drug addicts had hoped they could give up their
addictions while in the labor camp. Unfortunately, the police involved in
selling drugs have actually led them further astray.
Practitioner Xing Beishong from Jieyang City, Liu Fangfei from Longmen
County, and Cai from Dianmai County have been beaten and shocked with electric
batons. The police locked them in small cells and cuffed their hands on both
sides and started torturing practitioners with electric batons. The police were
laughing with distorted faces while they were torturing practitioners. When
practitioners who were tortured with electric batons were taken out of the small
cells, their hands were severely swollen from being cuffed for a long time.
Their faces were swollen as if they suffered from edema, and there were large
blood stains on their bodies. In order to cover up their brutal crimes, the
police ordered those practitioners not to speak of the tortures they endured;
otherwise they would suffer even more severe torture.
