Masanjia Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, has been undertaking even further brutal persecution of Dafa practitioners who refuse to betray Dafa and write the so-called "guarantees" [Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. Created by the "610 Office," the three statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners.].

The police drove the determined practitioners secretly out of the camp and sent them to a place where they handcuffed the practitioners, and hung them up with their feet suspended above the ground. This torture lasted for one week. The scene was extremely terrible.

Many practitioners have been imprisoned in the camp since July 20, 1999 when the Falun Dafa persecution began. They are put into small cells and not released even after their sentences expire, because they refuse to write the "guarantees." They are isolated from the outside and cannot obtain Teacher's articles or news about Dafa. However, with their firm belief in Teacher and Dafa, they have persevered through the past several years. What they desire is to read the Fa. An imprisoned practitioner said: "I so much hope to read Zhuan Falun once more."
