Bi Junqing: In February 2000, Zhaogezhuang Mine police authorities sent Bi Junqing to Guye District Detention Center in Tangshan City and imprisoned him there for four months. This was done because he went to Beijing to rectify the Fa. In August he was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp for practicing the Falun Gong exercises in public. Subsequently in September, Bi Junqing was transferred to the brainwashing class organized by Tangshan Textile University, and he has been detained there since. Bi Junqing is suffering from hypertension and saw blood in his urine. Currently he is physically very weak.

Wang Yuchuan: In February 2000, he was sent to the Guye District Detention Center and imprisoned there for 14 months, because he went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa. Refusing to write the "repentance letter," he was sent to a forced labor camp in Kaiping for one year. In April 2002, Wang Yuchuan was transferred to the brainwashing class in Tangshan Textile University. He has been holding a long-term hunger strike, and he is currently in critical condition.

Liu Cai: In March 2001 Liu was kidnapped to the brainwashing class in Tangshan Textile University. He escaped but was kidnapped again. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Dang Aimin: Because of going to Beijing to clarify the truth, Dang Aimin was arrested in October 2001, and detained in the Guye Detention Center for two months. After his release, Dang went to Beijing again to rectify the Fa. He was again arrested and sent back to the Guye Detention Center, where he was brutally tortured. With the instigation of guards, several inmates wrapped him up with thick blankets and forced their weight down on him simultaneously. The inmates took turns beating him and used thick needles to stab his body because he refused to write the "repentance letter." He has more than one hundred needle punctures marks on his body from the torture. The prison guards didn't give him any food and didn't allow him to sleep for days. He was in critical condition and subsequently sent to the mine's hospital, where he has been ever since. Dang Aimin is under police surveillance 24 hours a day. To resist the persecution, he went to the police section and practiced the Falun Gong exercises. Dang Aimin is also holding a long-term hunger strike, and currently he is physically very weak.

For a long time, the authorities from the mine's "610 Office" and police section (section chief's phone, 86-315-3051436) have persecuted Dafa disciples. (The 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial systems.) They mobilized more than 70 people from the local companies to monitor around the clock the Dafa disciples from their companies who had gone to Beijing rectifying the Fa. The company authorities are responsible for monitoring the practitioners at work, and when the workday is over, these 70 people have to watch the practitioners. They built a temporary shed in front of the homes of Dafa disciples to provide shelter for the personnel who monitor Dafa disciples. Dafa disciples in the mine are facing very difficult situations. We hope that fellow practitioners will send righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors in other dimensions behind the persecution going on in the mine.
