Editors' Note: Each time we publish news of this nature, we do so with
heavy hearts. These people started off as public servants, but under the
intense pressure applied by the Jiang regime, they were pushed into
persecuting Dafa disciples. In the process of destroying the lives of kind,
law-abiding citizens, they are sealing their own fates and will inevitably
face karmic retribution as punishment. For these officials, it's still not
too late, and we sincerely hope that they will change their ways and
ultimately make up for the damage they have done.
Zhang Chuanyu, the Jiu Village Party Branch Secretary in Shijiu Town,
Rizhao City of Shandong Province, often persecuted and harassed Dafa
practitioners in his village and severely interfered with Dafa
practitioners' daily lives. He often scolded other village secretaries for
not maintaining an iron fist to control Dafa practitioners. In 2001, he
suffered an infection in his thighbone, and in December 2002 he contracted
serious hepatitis and has been bedridden ever since. He followed the Jiang
regime's wicked orders and persecuted the good people, but in the end he
hurt himself.
Xie Baoyu, head of the National Security Division at Zhuozhou City Police
Department in Baoding area, Hebei Province is one of those chiefly
responsible for persecuting Dafa practitioners in the city. In late December
of 2002, after drinking heavily, Xie was organizing the criminal record
material relating to the persecution of Falun Gong. He mailed some documents
about the persecution to an address in the U.S. The package was intercepted
and Xie was tracked down as the sender, but he couldn't recall doing it at
all. It was heard that he passed out from shock and fear. Now Xie has been
brought to Baoding for detention and investigation, and he might be sent to
jail for "divulging national secrets."
