Everything Happening in Ordinary Society Is Aimed at Dafa Disciples' Thoughts -- Some Understanding About Rescuing Charles Li

Master said in Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A., "As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything."

Recently the Chinese police illegally arrested American citizen Charles Li and publicly made false accusations. It's one thing to frame innocent people, but they use the most unsavory means to create such a situation. We must all look within for any ordinary people's notions that may have provided loopholes for the old forces. If there are no loopholes, then this is absolutely the evil's persecution, and we should use this opportunity to send forth powerful righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil.

When I thought about this, I looked within and found that I often fear being questioned by people about tapping into TV programs, feeling that I can't explain this clearly. This is because my own understanding was not righteous enough. If someone broke the information blockade during the persecution of the Jews, utilized radio stations or flyers to expose Hitler's lies, Hitler would accuse him of violating the "law." But the people who learned the truth would call him a hero. Presently, Jiang and his regime never follow the law in their treatment of 100 million Falun Gong practitioners, but instead implemented the policy to "ruin their reputation, break them down mentally, and physically destroy them." How can I still feel unclear about breaking the blockade to clarify the truth? How deep was my comprehension of Master's new scripture Look at Things with Righteous Thoughts? Was it so shallow, or do I still have that deeply rooted fear? As if doing such noble Fa-rectification work could still fall short on a "legal" technicality? I found I had never really considered this before, and even avoided it.

I thought I understood this teaching clearly before, and felt Master was talking about those disciples in China who cannot step forward in Fa rectification. When I read this paragraph today, I realized Master is teaching the Fa, not only talking about specific things. Didn't Master use this topic to point out what it means for Dafa disciples to look at things with righteous thoughts? Master said, "Dafa disciples absolutely should validate the Fa, and they should save sentient beings." Indeed, this is the bottom line of Dafa disciples' righteous thoughts and righteous actions. How could I forget this in the current situation?

If we do not genuinely look at things from the perspective of the Fa, but rather based on ordinary society's understandings, then the old forces will see this clearly. They will not let us off easily. So our own thoughts created this trial wherein our fellow practitioner is suffering, which gave the old forces an excuse to manipulate a country or government's opinion on this matter. If the governments harm Dafa disciples as a result, then they are sacrificing their future.

I am convinced that when bad things happen, we should not only take the opportunity to thoroughly clarify the truth and send forth righteous thoughts, but also emphasize looking within for any bad thoughts and eliminate them, in order to completely negate the old forces' arrangement. Otherwise our truth clarification will not progress well, because we will be limited by our own fear and misunderstandings.
