An Example of Using Righteous Thoughts When Fellow Practitioners Are Persecuted

(Clearwisdom.net) I would like to share the following personal experience with practitioners.

Just after China's National Day (October 1), another practitioner notified me that our local contact person had been arrested by city police. The police claimed they found out that she had participated in "some activities" on National Day. I was told to watch out for my safety. I was shocked to hear the news. One reason was that on National Day, I had exchanged some truth clarifying materials with the woman who had been arrested. Another reason was that the same woman had been arrested by state police not long ago, and due to the fact that she was unable to let go of some attachments, she was coerced to write the "five statements" (renouncing Falun Gong) before she was released. After her release, she was not very determined. During the National Day holiday, I arranged a meeting with her. As a result, I found myself feeling a little bit uneasy and nervous.

After I returned to my workplace, I reorganised my thoughts and calmed down to study the Fa and at the same time looked inside myself. Master said,

"Then think about it: could the human society, and everything that we can see, exist by chance? Even each Dafa disciple's every move, every action, every word, and even the questions you ponder, none of it is that simple. In the future you'll see that everything was very carefully arranged. But it's not me who arranged this; it's the old forces who did. ...They just want to do it their way, but that's not acceptable since it wouldn't meet the standard. How could beings that are to be weeded out control the future?"

"You know, a lot of students haven't understood things clearly during this persecution and have considered it an ordinary human persecution against human beings. In fact, this persecution is entirely an unprecedented evil test of Dafa disciples that was arranged by the old forces. And they don't let the evil beings that are being used know the true situation--they are truly doing damage."

"Why should you, a Dafa disciple, fear the evil ones when enduring persecution? The crux of the matter is that you have attachments. If not, do not endure passively, and face the evil people with righteous thoughts at all times. No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates. If everyone does this the environment won't be this way."

I enlightened to the fact we are the most righteous beings, and that the hardships we face are forced upon us by the old forces. They are interfering with the Fa-rectification and our salvation of sentient beings. This is absolutely not allowed. We must break through. We can break through. We will only walk the road that Master has planned for us.

I immediately started to send forth righteous thoughts every hour to eliminate the evil. At the same time I used righteous thoughts to help the arrested practitioner to thoroughly deny this evil test arranged by the old forces, to help her not to cooperate with the evil and to use her righteous thoughts. When I returned home in the evening, I continued to send forth righteous thoughts for a long time every hour. In my mind's eye, I could see the arrested practitioner sitting in a cell surrounded by steel bars. I used righteous thoughts to break through the hardship that was forced upon her by the old forces. After a while, the steel cage disappeared and I very clearly saw the practitioner sitting in the lotus position less than two meters away from me. The light surrounding her body grew brighter and brighter and in the end she was tightly enclosed by a transparent ring of light. My fellow practitioner was sitting calmly in the middle and at that time I felt a sense of peace of mind that I have never felt before. I enlightened to the fact that the evil had been eliminated and this practitioner has passed through her tribulation. That whole night I continued to send forth righteous thoughts every hour. The next day I received the news that she had in fact walked out of the place where she had been jailed.
