A Falun Dafa Practitioner's Statement to the Court: It Is an Embarrassment for the Chinese People that I Have Been Dragged to the Defendant's Seat

I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, and it is truly an embarrassment for the Chinese people that I have been dragged to the defendant's seat. Is there anything wrong with "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance?" Or rather, is there something wrong with the persecution of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance?" Students of history may recall that Giordano Bruno was persecuted to death by the authorities centuries ago because he stuck to his beliefs in describing the structure of the universe. Although people in the old days weren't able to appreciate the truth of that high level, nowadays, it is well known that the persecution of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" is wrong. What on earth has happened to China? What on earth has happened to the leaders of my beloved land?

As a matter of fact, the law books are sitting on the bookshelves but 99% of people don't know what is inside them. Today's rulers don't rule by law, but by coercion. In ancient times the laws were not so complicated. It is morality that has maintained human civilization for the past 2000 years. When there is a conflict between power and morality, I am on the side of morality. Besides, Falun Dafa is not a set of common moral principles; it is Dafa cultivation, which is the truth of the universe.

Mr. Judge, I am not guilty, and I don't ask for anything either. I understand that you are an instrument of the dictatorship, and judging trials is just your job. However, within your responsibilities, please think twice about whether you should attack kindness or do your best to support it.
