Germany: A Letter to the Chinese Ambassador from the German Branch of the Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners

Your Excellency,

On January 22 2003, American citizen Charles Li (Li Xiangchun) was arrested upon his arrival at China's Guangzhou Airport. In this matter, the German Branch of the Global Falun Gong Practitioner Rescue Association urgently requested the international community to pay attention to the unreasonable imprisonment of Falun Dafa practitioner Li Xiangchun, and strongly requested the Chinese authorities to release Li Xiangchun immediately. In the meantime, we also urge all the governments, international organizations and individuals who support justice and righteousness to condemn this crime committed by the Chinese leader, so as to immediately stop the acts of abuse of basic international norms and freedom of belief. We hope that American citizen Li Xiangchun can be released and return to the U.S. as soon as possible, and the tens of thousands of the imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners can have their legal right of practicing Falun Gong returned to them.

The literal meaning of "Germany" in Chinese is 'the country with morality and justice'. In a sense, Germany is supposed to take the lead in moral issues, and clarify its position on the choices between economy and morality at this critical moment. When the Chinese dictator is persecuting innocent and kind-hearted people, the government of the country with morality should take the lead to speak up for the kind-hearted people. In response to the recent letters from German Falun Gong practitioners, German police authorities have apologized to them in writing for the inappropriate actions the police took last April, under China's pressure, against Falun Gong practitioners who appealed during Jiang's visit to Germany. The German President also wrote us to express his grave concern over the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs also sent us a letter to denounce the persecution of Falun gong on Mainland China. It proves that all the slander and other deceit, as well as the lies fabricated by Jiang's group in the past three years, have been exposed as false.

Mr. Ambassador, please consider the following: if the truth of Falun Gong is what is reported on TV in China, how could there be more than one hundred million people in the world practicing Falun Gong within seven years (1992-1999)? Please think about it carefully. What does the dictator really like and want, as he hates Falun Gong and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" so much? He must have a liking for the three words just opposite to "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", i.e., "untruthfulness, evil and violence." Then where does he want to lead the nation? And isn't what he has done in the past three years tantamount to "genocide"?

Dear Ambassador, have you ever heard of the term "evil"? When the people who were deceived by lies denied the fact that 18 female Falun Gong practitioners were stripped and thrown into to male cells in Shenyang Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, we finally truly realized the real meaning of "evil". To thoroughly carry out the genocide policy towards Falun Gong, the dictator used his power to control all the mass media and block all the people in China from hearing the truth. At present the people in Mainland China do not have access to any news that show Falun Gong practitioners being brutally persecuted to death by horrendous methods of torture. People in China have been deprived of their rights of knowing what happens in the outside world. They are unable to freely surf on the Clearwisdom website at www.minghui.ca [a Falun Dafa website] to read the news about the truth. They regard the evil propaganda as the only news.

A Chinese mainlander said to us: "If the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square in January 2001 was a lie orchestrated by the Chinese government, aren't they the people who should be condemned by history?" However, the fact is: There are already people condemned by history, but the news was not reported because those who should be condemned are the officials in the central government, and it would be hard for the people in China to accept the fact that those key figures in the Central Committee of the CCP would be so vicious. It is ridiculous that such absurd episodes even occur repeatedly like this. On the surface, the economy is better, and the officials are richer than ten years ago. This is the false impression the evil dictator has created with all its national resources over the past three years. They reverse right and wrong, kill the innocent, and suppress Falun Gong practitioners, who are pursuing higher moral standards. Many policemen said to Falun Gong practitioners that they don't care about murder and arson cases, but persecuting Falun Gong practitioners is an order from their superiors. All these evil orders were from the "610 Offices", an agency above law that is similar to the Gestapo. These orders are transmitted orally without any documents. For instance, there is no requirement to contact practitioners' families, and those who are killed or persecuted to death are to be proclaimed as committing suicide to the public. Under the oppression over the past three years, there have been 572 documented cases of practitioners being tortured to death, while the real number is likely much higher.

At present, the American and Canadian embassies are calling for the rescue of American citizen Li Xiangchun. The persecution has transcended national borders and nationalities. Isn't it absurd that the only reason for his being arrested was that he wanted to be a kind-hearted person? The Chinese people would appreciate it very much if you could join the urgent rescue group, and express your just voice through diplomatic channels. They will also remember you in the future, because of your insisting on the basic human moral standard - promoting justice, insisting on fairness, subduing evil and advocating righteousness. Do you remember Schindler, who bravely rescued the Jews? All the material elements have disappeared like smoke and cloud, but the Jews still remember him, and Germans are proud of him too. Since spiritual elements are sacred and immortal, those who have the guts to speak up for others based on righteousness while they are in danger will be remembered forever by the people in the future.

We are anticipating your correct decision. If all the diplomats to China can come out to call for the rescue of innocent Falun Gong practitioners, regardless of how much they may do, the righteous strength accumulated and the ensuing effect would be tremendous. It is what evil is most frightened of, because evil is always afraid that its lies will be exposed. We are expecting that Your Excellency, the Ambassador in the country famous for high moral standards, is able to render your kind assistance, based on the principles of justice, fairness and righteousness, to Chinese Falun Gong practitioners who are arrested just because they want to be a kind person.

Dear Mr. Ambassador, after the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' pressured the Chinese authorities, they released two people. With the Irish government's efforts, a Chinese student from Ireland was released from a prison in China. After the Canadian government and its Ministry of Foreign Affairs' concerns, China has also released eight people to Canada. These examples signify that the media's reports and righteous voices from the international community are what the evil is afraid of, because the voice of justice is very powerful.
