Police in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp Cruelly Torture Falun Gong Practitioners

Since September 1999, police at No. 4 Division in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, have been inhumanly torturing Dafa practitioners. The police there always tried to force practitioners to sign the so-called "Reformation Statement" so that the police can report them as "reformed" and satisfy their superiors. They brutally tortured practitioner Mr. Yue Baoxue with a method called "Cuffed and Hung Up" for 7 consecutive days and nights. [With both hands cuffed behind the back, both feet off or only toes touching the ground, one is hung from a basketball support or house beam by the handcuffs. Both hands and arms will soon go numb from lack of blood circulation.] Another practitioner, Mr. Xu Zhenfeng, received the same type of torture for 3 consecutive days and nights. Both practitioners' arms became red and swollen, and their whole bodies were covered with injuries. These two firmly remained True to their beliefs and refused any of the evil's requests. Other practitioners like Mr. Song Qingkui, Mr. Zhang Tichao, Mr. Zhang Xiangfu, and Mr. Chen Zihui also remained steadfast and did not compromise with the evil. We hope that fellow practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts together so as to support these practitioners, eliminate the evil and reduce losses.

Dafa practitioner Mr. He Yuefeng of Wuchang City went to Beijing to appeal. He was detained and unlawfully sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp. After the one-year term expired, the local authorities blackmailed Mr. He's family for a bribe of 7,000 Yuan for his release [the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan].
